Job overview An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced neonatal nurse to progress within Jessop Wing Neonatal Unit as Band 7 senior sister/charge nurse, taking charge co-ordinating our busy level 3 Neonatal Unit.
This role has minimum hours of 24 per week , days , nights, weekend for our 24/7 service – up to 37.5 hrs per week with management opportunities included , there are permanent hours available and also a secondment hours available to cover upcoming Maternity leave. Main duties of the job Post holder will provide leadership and management to nursing staff providing care to patients within the Neonatal Unit and Transitional Care.
To be accountable as the line manager for the ward / dept managing all grades of Nursing staff and to take overall 24-hour responsibility for the planning, practice and evaluation of nursing care.

Post registration qualification – Neonatal Qualified in speciality (QIS)
Specialist training relevant to role (current NLS, safeguarding training)
