    In this role, you will be the strategic engine behind one of Severn Trent’s most ambitious growth and performance plans. Contribute to the early development of commissioning plans and determine the appropriate solution, including costing and input to relevant papers and governance forums. Conduct high-level appraisals and feasibility studies of conceptual designs to create innovative and efficient TOTEX solutions. Ensure design standards and assurance processes are followed and approve designs from internal or external designers.  Support in the creation of the new internal design process within Severn Trent. With the aim to automate high-volume regular tasks to create time-efficiencies and ensure that the design team work on areas with the highest risk and value. Undertake proactive risk management, maintaining risk registers throughout the design feasibility and design process. Ensure Health and Safety considerations are integrated into the lifecycle of the mains renewal design and review potential delivery and operational risks.  Ensure the delivery of appropriate designs and specifications for subsequent delivery. Constructively review, validate internal and third-party designs, provide support to the programme team to ensure the solution is delivered, ensure the commissioning plan is agreed and design is per specification.
