    EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

    Our Treatment Process Engineering Manager will lead a team of internal and consultant Process Engineers. Your primary responsibility is to ensure the most suitable process decisions are made throughout the programme, specifically for non-infrastructure assets in water, waste, and sludge treatment. This includes overseeing the commissioning of related projects and ensuring alignment with water quality and operational goals.
    In this role you’ll guide the team to select optimal processes from project inception to completion, supporting the supply chain and design teams with technical expertise, and contributing to project commissioning. You’ll also be responsible for ensuring that process decisions are cost-effective over the asset’s life cycle, producing key documentation such as Process Design and Options Reports. Additionally, you’ll contribute to the continuous improvement of design standards and knowledge sharing through updates to design manuals and the development of technical papers.
    Collaboration with key stakeholders is key to evaluate process options and associated risks, helping to prioritise investment decisions in alignment with the annual business plan.


    Key responsibilities include:

    Provide expert process engineering input to deliver optimal solutions for non-infrastructure capital projects, incorporating lessons learned from previous work. Prepare high-quality process design and options reports to support informed project decision-making. Support project commissioning by offering process expertise, ensuring compliance with required outputs, and contributing to commissioning plan development. Deliver technical advice and oversight during commissioning, producing process commissioning plans and completing documentation for operational handover. Promote continuous improvement and technical development through active engagement in Communities of Practice and external learning opportunities. Manage resources effectively, ensuring a safe working environment and coordinating contractors and suppliers with appropriate support. Assess process options with consideration for risk, whole-life cost, and carbon impact to support sustainable investment decisions. Contribute to the evolution of design standards and recommend research and development initiatives to drive innovation.

    WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE

    You’ll need strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex technical concepts to individuals with varying levels of understanding. This includes using verbal, written, and visual methods to convey information effectively. You’ll also have experience in analysing data, identifying root causes of complex issues, developing practical solutions, and presenting findings through well-structured technical reports.
    In addition, the role requires proven stakeholder management and influencing skills across all levels of an organisation. You’ll be capable of driving the adoption of new tools, techniques, and technologies, ensuring that changes are embedded and sustained. A solid technical understanding of at least one water or waste treatment discipline is essential, along with knowledge of its components, associated risks, and benefits.

The service you offer is crucial in supporting a market leading customer offering.  Technical knowledge and experience in this area is preferable but not an absolute must, for the right candidate we can supply you with in housetraining giving you the opportunity to become an expert in your field, providing comprehensive technical expertise and support throughout the adoption process. EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW  As our new Network Logistics Technician, you’ll be responsible for the timely, safe, and compliant delivery of specific construction plant, equipment and materials onsite as required by the Network Construction team.  You’ll provide continuous support and delivery of materials such as pipes and fittings, transported in lighter goods vehicles (not HGV’s). You’ll also be responsible for the effective stock management of materials and fittings, making sure appropriate stock levels are maintained, and for keeping kit and equipment safe and in good order.  This role requires a -hour work week, Monday to Friday, starting at : AM and ending at : PM, with a half-hour early finish at : PM on Fridays.  Key Accountabilities: Responsible for the ordering and delivering plant, specialist tools and equipment as required and chlorination and delivery of coiled pipe. Daily and ad-hoc tasks will need to be carried out as and when required to make sure the Warehouse operation runs smoothly; including but not limited to operation of heavy plant lifting equipment and manual lifting equipment, housekeeping duties including data entry for stock control, inspections on vehicles, mobile plant, office workplace, etc. Liaising frequently with a variety of stakeholders both internally and externally and at times you’ll do some service laying to support the Construction Teams and be responsible for safety of site, operatives, customers, public, environment. WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE For this role the right candidate will have experience in a logistic role, working on Mains Renewal schemes and /or an NCO Qualification and come from a utilities background. You’ll also have excellent communication, customer service and stakeholder skills. With the ability to make prompt, clear decisions, work in a high-pressure environment and able to multitask. Additionally, you’ll be required for onsite construction work, know-how to carry out successful transportation and delivery of materials and equipment and be accountable for safety of site, operatives, customers, public, environment. As travel is required, you’ll also have to hold a full driving license.
