Key Responsibilities Act as the GIS capital and commercial subject matter expert, interfacing with project teams and stakeholders. Collaborate with the extended supply chain – define GIS requirements, assess capabilities, and ensure safe, timely data sharing. Lead the As-laid procedure – refine and develop workflows and documentation. You will be covering the southern half of the mod patch, between the hours of :am – :pm, Monday – Friday. In exchange we’ll provide a company van & fuel card to allow you to start work from home whilst also investing in your personal development, including Compex training, that once passed qualifies you for an additional monthly allowance. In this role, you’ll join a team who’re responsible for the design, engineering, technical delivery, maintenance and improvements of the systems and applications for the Information Security Office. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR You’ll join a team of Security Architects within an Information Security operations and engineering environment, with further experience in the development and documentation of integrated solution and detailed designs encompassing both cloud and on premise environments. Understanding and awareness of industry frameworks such as NIST, NCSC CAF, CIS, IEC . Knowledge of NIS-r Directive advantageous. Ability to evaluate and propose tooling and technologies within Severn Trent to enhance its security posture. Knowledge of Operation Technology OT/IOT from regulated industries highly desirable. We’d like you to have knowledge and experience in security technology controls that drive Zero Trust such as identify & access management, endpoint protection, network security, Device mgmt., email security, Data integration and application security, This role involves a substantial amount of stakeholder engagement and co-operation with other specialists including external suppliers, so having robust communication skills, with the ability to influence decision making is paramount. Ideally, you’ll have achieved industry recognised Security certification, such as CCSP, CISSP, CISM, or a BCS certificate in Information Security Management and be a SABSA Chartered Security Architect – Practitioner Level (or higher). Additional product related certifications desirable, Azure, AWS etc Skills and experience are important, but character, positivity, and a caring attitude matter too.
