    Job Description

    Define and develop security solutions across Comms, Fire, and Electronic Security in collaboration with Sales and MarketingUnderstand customer needs and identify solution gaps to meet local market demandsEnsure all designs meet product, regulatory, and standards complianceStay informed on market trends and developments to support competitive solutionsCommunicate solution capabilities clearly to commercial and operational teamsLeverage existing national and international solutions, working with European colleagues to align best practiceProduce detailed scopes of work, including bespoke requirements for Comms solutionsCreate accurate and comprehensive costing documentation for approvalDevelop detailed technical drawings showing system layouts and dependenciesProduce implementation programmes outlining key steps, durations, and milestonesSupport opportunity conversion by delivering high-quality design and documentation within agreed timeframesAccountabilities and Performance MeasuresTo Conversion rate of opportunities assigned to you to design.Produce and design all required documentation in line with the sales process, approval process and client timeframes.Any other duties as directed by the Design Manager.Please note - The responsibilities listed here aren’t the full picture—but they give you a good sense of the role.     Qualifications

    Must-Have5+ years’ experience in solution design within Security, Electronic Security, IS/IT, IoT, or a related industryStrong understanding of fire system design, with valid FIA Design qualificationsConfident communicator with the ability to present to internal and external stakeholdersStrong technical writing skills, including solution design documentationExperience working in a national or multi-site environmentFluent in English (written and verbal)Full UK driving licence and 5-year checkable work historyDesirableThis role requires an individual with extensive technical knowledge from an Electronic Security perspective with a sound understanding of networks and IT infrastructure to ensure they can support to innovate and design standardised products but also work in conjunction with the Sales Specialist to design tailored/integrated Electronic Security solutions for our clients.The individual should be able to create technical designs using Visio/BluebeamCAD capability would be advantageous.A good understanding of network/server vulnerabilities and security considerations.

    System Support and MaintenanceProvide break/fix support for CCTV, access control, and other physical security devices.Perform programming, configuration, and maintenance within platforms such as Genetec Security Centre, C•CURE 9000, Lennell and related systems.Monitor devices and systems for performance, connectivity, and operational integrity.Troubleshoot hardware and network-related issues affecting security systems.Replace and configure defective or end-of-life components as required.Preventive and Quality Assurance TasksConduct preventive maintenance and system health checks according to Bloomberg-defined cycles.Verify camera streams, alarm inputs, and access control readers for proper functionality.Document device status, firmware updates, and configuration changes.Support compliance and audit preparation, ensuring system functionality aligns with corporate and regulatory standards.Coordination and CommunicationCoordinate task execution and reporting with the Lead Security Technology RepresentativeCollaborate with site operations, networking, and facilities teams to resolve infrastructure-related dependencies.Communicate effectively with Bloomberg stakeholders, providing clear status updates and escalation of critical issues.Participate in cross-regional meetings, training sessions, and upgrade activities as directed.System Integration and CommissioningAssist with the onboarding and integration of new devices (e.g., cameras, controllers, workstations) into enterprise systems.Verify configurations and ensure alignment with Bloomberg security technology standards.Provide technical feedback and field-based insights to Bloomberg engineering or project management teams to support continuous improvement. Availability and CoverageProvide on-site support during standard business hours.Participate in after-hours or on-call rotations for critical incidents, outages, or maintenance windows as required.Deliverables and ReportingThe Role will be expected to input, produce and maintain the following documentation and reports:Daily activity logs summarizing work performed, system issues, and resolutions.Maintenance and inspection reports detailing completed preventive maintenance activities.Equipment replacement, firmware update, and configuration change records.Escalation summaries for incidents requiring further engineering or vendor intervention.Monthly summary report of service metrics, notable issues, and improvement recommendations.
    Qualifications

    Essential3–5 years of relevant experience supporting or maintaining physical security systems.The right to work in the UK, with a 5-year checkable historyProficiency with Genetec Security Centre (Omnicast/Synergis) and C•CURE 9000 platforms.Working knowledge of IP networking, including PoE, VLANs, and device addressing.Demonstrated experience in hardware installation, troubleshooting, and documentation.Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and respond effectively to critical events.Preferred CertificationsGenetec Security Centre Technical Certifications (Omnicast / Synergis)C•CURE 9000 System Installer or Advanced Integrator CertificationNetworking qualification (e.g., CompTIA Network+, equivalent BTEC)
