    The Role

    Do you have lived experience of autism and want to use it to make a real difference? Are you confident working with others to build services that are supportive, inclusive, and empowering?

    Scottish Autism, in partnership with NHS Tayside, is looking for a Peer Support Worker to join the Tayside Adult Autism Consultancy Team (TAACT). This is an exciting opportunity to bring lived experience to provide support and contribute to the development of neuroaffirmative services that are centred on the needs of autistic adults across Tayside.

    As Peer Support Worker within TAACT, you'll work alongside a team of specialists in their areas, this includes psychology, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, nursing, and psychiatry. You will support with the facilitation of post-diagnostic support, co-develop resources and groups, and strengthen the voice of autistic people in how services are shaped and delivered.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Co-design and run post-diagnostic groups and individual resources
    • Offer one-to-one peer support to adults open to TAACT
    • Help create clear, accessible peer support pathways
    • Ensure neuroaffirmative practice is embedded in daily work
    • Contribute to the wider redesign of NHS Tayside's neurodevelopmental pathway
    • Support service evaluation and improvement

    The Company

    Scottish Autism is one of the largest providers of autism-specific services in Scotland, with a commitment to a social model of support. You'll be employed by Scottish Autism but embedded within NHS Tayside's TAACT team - a small, specialist team offering diagnostic assessments, interventions, and consultations for autistic adults across Tayside. TAACT are committed to ensuring that all aspects of their services are responsive to needs of the individuals they support.

    The Person

    We're looking for someone who:
    • Has lived experience of autism
    • Understands the value of peer support and autonomy
    • Communicates clearly and with empathy
    • Can work both independently and as part of a team
    • Is confident using IT and keeping records
    • Is comfortable travelling within the Tayside area
    • Holds relevant SVQ Level 3.

    Experience of working within healthcare or with multidisciplinary teams is helpful but not essential - we're more interested in who you are and the perspective you bring.

    Thistle service is a day service located in Maryhill, Glasgow. Currently supporting 8 autistic people to live happy, healthy and fulfilling lives. We support people to access the service by providing transport and use the service as a base for accessing the local community.

    Those we support enjoy a range of activities including a range of sensory experiences, watching films, pampering sessions, local canal walks, swimming, and accessing the community for discos and local restaurants.

    Autism Practitioners will work as part of a team to:
    • Develop personalised support plans for the supported individual,

    On a day-to-day basis, Autism Practitioners enable supported people:

    Join us as a Digital Learning Advisor and help shape the delivery of our online learning programme for a range of external audiences.

    About the Role

    This is a digital and technical role supporting our emerging external learning and consultancy service with the implementation and development of their learning management system, developing assets and courses and reporting on this. This includes the digital development of our online learning suite 'Right Click', which houses our parent and carer support, external professional learning and support for neurodivergent people. You will also work collaboratively with the Internal Digital Learning Advisor to ensure the smooth digital roll out of our Autism Practitioner Award and Autism Trainer Award, which will be delivered both internally and externally.

    What you'll do:

    You'll support the design, replication and delivery of digital courses and resources for external training. You'll be a key player in supporting and promoting engagement across the platform and providing feedback and regular reports which will influence future developments.

    Co-ordination of the technical aspects of the LMS, ensuring data is processed and stored in line with our GDPR responsibilities.

    You will work as part of our external learning and consultancy team to support external customers' learning. You will ensure all materials reflect our practice approach values and ethics and that there is consistency across all Scottish Autism learning opportunities both within and out with the organisation.

    We are looking for a committed and motivated Community Advisor to join our team at Connections, Dundee. This is part of a test for change project in partnership with Dundee Health & Social Care Partnership and NHS Tayside, shaped by local autistic voices.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide information, advice, support and guidance to autistic adults, families and interested professionals.
    • Offer support to autistic adults wherever they may be on their journey - self-identify, pre and post diagnosis.
