For Scotland’s Mental Health Post: Senior Technology and Systems ManagerRef: REC Location: Brunswick House, Glasgow Hours: 37.5 hours per weekSalary: £56, per annumContract: Permanent About the RoleReporting to the Head of Digital and Information Systems, you will work as Senior Technology and Systems Manager to oversee the maintenance and development of SAMH’s IT and cloud-based systems for over staff across 30 sites in Scotland. You will be responsible for delivering a high-level of ICT across all of our locations, involving hardware, software, SaaS & digital systems and networking capabilities. You will have responsibility for overseeing a wide range of core operational systems and development activities, as well as manging the three person ICT team and the Digital Development Manager. You will have the ability to work on multiple high impact projects at the same time and therefore require strong project and time management expertise. You must also have excellent communication skills and experience of dealing with non-technical stakeholders. You will have responsibility for a significant budget, with responsibility for supplier selection, relationship-management and day-to-day purchasing. You will possess experience working with a range of digital solutions and demonstrate strong data analysis skills. Additionally, you will be expected to collaborate effectively with various digital and data teams across the organisation. You will also be responsible for overseeing SAMH’s cyber-security. You will have an understanding of current and future threats and be able to respond appropriately to cyber-security issues as they arise, as well as the ability to brief all staff on maintaining their own security. What we are looking for:· Degree or an advanced equivalent recognised IT/computing qualification and/or industry-recognised technical qualification(s)- Essential · Significant working knowledge of a range of IT software, hardware, digital technologies, data and networking solutions - Essential · Advanced technical knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud services, Microsoft , Entra Active Directory, and Network Services. Hands-on familiarity with networking, firewalls, Wi-Fi, structured cabling etc. - Essential · Experience of integrating various technical systems across a wide portfolio - Essential· Experience of inspiring the use of emerging ICT and digital technologies in new contexts- Essential· Experience of data analysis and visualisation - Essential· Skilled in managing budgets, schedules, and resources in fast-paced environments. - Essential· Able to demonstrate problem-solving abilities and experience working with medium to large sized businesses. - Essential· Proven experience of the full project lifecycle – Essential · Experience of deploying a wide range of Microsoft/Azure tools – Desirable· Experience of line management and leading cross-functional teams in the planning, execution, and delivery of IT service, infrastructure and network projects, often in parallel with wider business needs – Essential· Experience of working within either the healthcare or third sector - Desirable · Full UK driving license – Essential· Previous experience in a leadership role – Essential· PowerShell, scripting, Power Platform, systems integration and database skills - Desirable What we will provide for you You will work in a supportive environment and will be provided with a full induction and training opportunities. SAMH community services provide a range of mental health and social care support to individuals and may also provide support with other complex needs. SAMH Moray provides 6 pathways of recovery based practical and emotional support to individuals across Moray and SAMH Mental Health Practitioners will work across these 6 pathways.Some of the key activities of the role include; · Supporting clients in their homes and the community and encourage them to participate in activities for independent living and to be involved in decisions that affect them. · Assist individuals to manage their mental health with a focus on developing sustainable strategies and building personal resilience· Equip individuals to care for themselves and the practicalities of running their own home· Deliver specific intervention programmes, such as Distress Brief Intervention, 1-1 work, MyRap and groupwork. · Assist individuals to develop new skills and achieve new personal goals, rediscover interests and try new things.· Facilitate support to widen individuals own support network· Provide quality support services to clients through effective planning, monitoring, evaluation and review of their requirements in partnership with them. · Promote the work of SAMH and the work of the service in order to enhance delivery of services to clients. · Ensure that services provided comply with standards set by SAMH, our values of respect, dignity and equality, and meet the contractual or partnership requirements of relevant external agencies. What we are looking forRespect and dignity for the people who use our services is at the heart of everything we do. We’re looking for people with great people skills who are honest, reliable and resilient in challenging situations. You will be able to use initiative, compassion, energy and determination to establish a therapeutic relationships with individuals with a range of support needs and support them to identify and achieve meaningful goals. Knowledge and experience in supporting people with mental health problems or distress is desirable but not essential, as is experience working with adults with a wide range of support needs. Supporting the people who use our services means there are a variety of shift patterns including evenings and weekends.
