    Job Description Technician (Physics & Engineering)/n Scarborough Sixth Form College (Part time, term time, permanent) We are seeking an enthusiastic and adaptable individual to provide technical and general support to deliver our physics and engineering curriculum. This is an attractive opportunity for a suitably skilled technician to join Scarborough Sixth Form College in a varied role with good opportunity for professional development. /n Alongside a range of technical duties there will be opportunities to work alongside students in support of their study assignments. /n You must have relevant laboratory experience either through your studies or in a work environment. A good understanding of safe working practices in a laboratory environment is also essential. /n A pro-active and flexible approach is essential along with the ability to organise your workload to best meet the needs of the service. /n This is a permanent contract, working 15 hours per week commencing following recruitment and safeguarding checks. /n The successful candidate will be appointed to scale point 5 of the Support Staff Salary Structure, currently £25,159 for full time.
