Financial Accountant - Buckinghamshire (Hybrid) - Not for Profit£45,000 - £55,000 + Excellent Benefits & Holiday PackageA fantastic opportunity has arisen for a qualified Financial Accountant to join a well-established organisation based in Buckinghamshire, offering hybrid working (3 days in the office) and an excellent benefits package.We are looking for a technically strong finance professional with experience gained within the not-for-profit, education, or charity sectors, including SORP accounting and fund accounting experience.This role will suit a hands-on accountant with strong financial reporting expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work across a broad finance remit in a collaborative environment.Key Responsibilities:Preparation of statutory accounts and year-end financial reportingLiaising with external auditors, bankers, and advisorsFund accounting and ensuring compliance with relevant reporting standards (SORP)Preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliations, prepayments, and accrualsSupporting financial controls, compliance, and reporting processesAssisting with cashflow reporting and financial analysisPreparing reports and presenting financial information to a range of stakeholdersSupporting continuous improvement of finance systems and processesAbout You:Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)Strong financial accounting and statutory reporting experiencePrevious experience within not-for-profit, charity, or education sectorsKnowledge of SORP accounting and fund accounting is essentialStrong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levelsExcellent Excel skills and experience working with financial systems / ERPsThis is an excellent opportunity to join a values-led organisation offering a supportive environment, excellent benefits, generous holiday allowance, and flexible hybrid working.
