We’re now looking for a Maintenance Electrician to undertake electrical planned maintenance and workshop activities within all areas of our plant operations. Important responsibilities includeTo ensure personal and team safety and promote a 'Safety First' culture.Comply with all Standard Working Practices (SWP’s) and permits to work where appropriate.To undertake all electrical & electrical control work associated with preventative maintenance, predictive maintainance breakdown maintenance, maintenance of site services and project work.Carry out the requirements of the preventative maintenance system as determined by the maintenance engineer.Monitor the Engineering Requests and carry out appropriate tasks.Develop SWP’s, maintenance tasks and training procedures to assist the Maintenance Supervisor & Engineer.When requested, be prepared to attend the work site out of normal working hours to address issues of safety, security or production equipment breakdowns. Participation in the Engineering call out system will be required.ABOUT YOU We are looking for someone with demonstrable experience in electrical engineering and preventative maintenance on an industrial or manufacturing site, with and good understanding of control instrumentation. Experience working with furnaces and powder processing equipment would be highly advantageous. Candidates must have an electrical trade apprenticeship to level 3 minimum or equivalent. Experience in the following would also be an advantage: FLT driving, IPAF, CompEx and PAT testing.This role is based at our site situated in Neath, South Wales.Be unique, we like it that way!
