Sandman Signature Sheffield Quays Hotel are recruiting a Deputy Head Housekeeper Sandman Signature Sheffield Quays Hotel is looking for an experienced and motivated Deputy Head Housekeeper to join the housekeeping leadership team at our 4-star hotel in Victoria Quays, Sheffield. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional who is passionate about cleanliness, standards, and team leadership within a hospitality environment.As Deputy Head Housekeeper, you will support the Head Housekeeper in the day-to-day running of the housekeeping department, ensuring exceptional standards of cleanliness and presentation are maintained throughout the hotel at all times. You will play a key role in supervising the team, maintaining quality control and ensuring guests receive a consistently high level of service. Key responsibilities of this role include:Assist the Head Housekeeper in managing daily housekeeping operationsSupervise and motivate housekeeping staff, including room attendants, laundry operatives and public area cleanersConduct room and public area inspections to ensure 4-star standards are metSupport staff training, onboarding and ongoing developmentManage stock control, linen levels and housekeeping suppliesWork with our Front Office team to handle guest requests and resolve issues professional and efficientlyEnsure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulationsLiaise with our departmental heads to support the smooth running of the hotelDeputise for the Head Housekeeper in their absence The ideal candidate:Has previous experience in a supervisory housekeeping role, ideally within a 4-star environmentStrong attention to detail and high personal standardsConfident leadership and excellent communication skillsAbility to work under pressure in a fast-paced environmentFlexible approach to working hours, including weekends and public holidaysA positive, hands-on attitude with a commitment to guest satisfaction We believe that by taking care of our team members, we create a positive atmosphere that benefits both our team members and valued guests.
