    About The Role We have an exciting opportunity for an Independent Living Skills Coachto join our team in Preston. Working in an environment that is dedicated to providing comprehensive, good quality housing services, support and resettlement, you will work with people who are or have recently experienced homelessness and who are in need of support and accommodation. Assessing needs, building trust, enabling and unlocking our clients potential to live independently, you will need to get to know your clients, enhance their social integration and abilities by encouraging them to participate in social and leisure programmes, help residents with their support needs and with the practicalities of everyday living. About The Candidate You will instinctively work in a manner that aligns fully with Salvation Army Homes values and behaviours, demonstrating energy and passion, along with a positive, can do attitude in your daily contribution as a night concierge to transforming lives. You will be confident and be able to communicate effectively with a diverse range of people including clients, staff, agencies and local neighbours. We need you to have: Empathy with our client group Strong interpersonal and influencing skills Good time management A willingness to work night shift on a rota basis In return, well give you access to some great benefits.     About The Role Excellent opportunity for Mental Health Support Workers to help provide holistic recovery-focused support to clients with mental health across the Exeter and East Devon Mental Health Service. At Salvation Army Homes we are dedicated to providing comprehensive, good quality housing services, support and resettlement. The Mental Health Support Worker willbeengaging creativelywith acaseload of clients based on their identified support needs to identify and develop the skills and resources to transform their lives and enable independent living. This will involve providing high quality support for vulnerable clients through 1:1 and group sessions and working closely with external partner agencies. The Mental Health Support Worker will be able to: Support and accompany clients to attend essential appointments eg related to health, debts or housing, etc Support and advise clients to access information on housing, health, welfare, benefits and other resources. Support with medication, where required Actively engage residents in developing the service Help assess potential new clients Liaise with external agencies etc. including Health Professionals Help manage any incidents or challenging behaviour Develop person-centred Support Plans and Risk Management Plans and keep accurate records Please note that we currently do not have a licence for support visa sponsorship. About The Candidate You will have a working knowledge of the needs and support requirements of people with complex mental health needs or worked in another social care setting.     About The Role The Support Worker will provide a structured, personalised resettlement service to every service user at Mildmay House. To seek to support service users who have experienced homelessness to move into their own homes in a planned and supported way. To offer advice, training, information and one-to-one/group support to help service users through this process. The support offered very much depends on the individual, but can include advice on housing rights, accompanying individuals to meetings, and practical support to move in, such as obtaining furniture and setting up payment plans for household bills. Ensure that service users who are ready to move on are given the security and support to maximise their independence, dignity and choice, in accordance with the aims and objectives of the project. Please note this is a full time role working on a rota basis - generally a week of day shifts, a week of night shifts and working every other weekend.
