    Location – Corby (NN17 5JF).Within our markets there is a core requirement to activate product promotional activity to drive trading and support our category growth strategy. We also have the opportunity to engage with locally significant product manufacturers and suppliers and agree supplier funded marketing activity. Our goal, and that of this role, is to deliver a programme of relevant, impactful product promotional activities that support the growth of our locally defined strategic growth categories, create a marketing touch rhythm with marketing owned accounts (Standard and Key non-portfolio), and maximise our opportunity to cost-effectively secure marketing funding contribution from our supplier partners. The purpose of this role is to deliver product led promotional programmes that support our annual defined ‘growth’ product categories. Combined with the execution of a comprehensive supplier marketing activity programme which aims to secure funding contribution against an annual defined funding target. What you will be doing: As the Marketing Lead, you will be guided by the Senior Marketing Manager to create, deploy and execute a promotional marketing and supplier marketing plan and budget and own the schedule and delivery of supplier marketing activities E2E. You will work closely with the UK & Ireland Product & Supplier Management (P&SM) team to secure funding from suppliers and manufacturers against a jointly P&SM and Marketing owned annual target of circa £2.0m and act as the local marketing product and brand subject matter expert, while working with suppliers to ensure execution of agreed product marketing activities. Work with both UK&I and EMEA channel owners to execute product marketing activities and provide oversight of the progress of the supplier marketing plan with key stakeholders, while working closely with both the local marketing analyst and other resources to provide reporting for supplier marketing activity. What do I need to be successful? If you have the following skills and experience, we want to hear from you: Broad product marketing experience, with a good awareness of both offline and online marketing channels B2B marketing experience is preferred, with an appreciation of business customers and their needs/drivers Ability to create product marketing content that conveys the key benefits or a product range or solution. Experience of a larger or multi-national organisation – ideally with matrix working Self-starter with a drive to deliver on-time work and manage multiple tasks in parallel. An inquisitive or curious mindset, with the desire to really understand the customer, their needs and our product range Experience of multi-channel marketing programs combining both products and services Familiarity with defining target audiences and devising effective marketing programs for those audiences. Understanding of the full marketing mix, but channel activation expertise isn’t vital. Solid analytical skills preferred but must be comfortable with data and analytics.     The Role We are seeking an experienced, commercially minded leader to spearhead the strategic development and global delivery of our two flagship sustainability programmes: Better World Products (BWP) Supplier ESG Action Plan This role will shape the next phase of both programmes, driving both ESG and commercial outcomes to drive strategic progression and stakeholder value creation. It is a global role, working across all three RS regions (EMEA, Americas, APAC) and our global brands. You will lead a direct team of two but influence a much larger and broader matrix of stakeholders across Product & Supplier Management, ESG, Digital, Go‑to‑Market, Procurement and Ethics & Compliance.     Key Responsibilities Better World Products (BWP) Lead the end‑to‑end strategy for BWP to maximise its value for RS, customers and suppliers. Partner with Product & Supplier, Sales and Commercial teams to define and deliver BWP growth targets (range expansion, customer adoption, and revenue contribution), embedding sustainability into core commercial decision-making . Lead the customer teams to develop the BWP go‑to‑market strategy, including digital experience, pricing & margin, customer and supplier marketing, segmentation and sales enablement.  Oversee ongoing development of BWP claims‑based framework and launch of BWP Solutions to drive further product and supplier identification, verification and onboarding to expand the BWP range and grow to 100k by 2030. Oversee relationships with sustainability consultants supporting framework development and regulatory alignment. Ensure framework alignment with emerging sustainability and product compliance regulations such as the Green Claims Directive and industry best practice to avoid greenwashing and maintain industry standard and customer trust.  Shape the long‑term roadmap toward product lifecycle assessment and environmental footprint model, including product carbon footprint labelling. Partner with ESG team to develop Scope 3 roadmap and deliver ongoing improvements in customer and stakeholder reporting.  Grow sustainable product data within the Product Information Management system and utilise AI to manage efficiently. Develop short, medium‑ and long‑term metrics, external targets and monthly ESG and commercial performance reporting in collaboration with ESG data team. Use insight to drive decision making and progress. Partner with the ESG team to accelerate globalisation, governance, data development and reporting — including product carbon reporting from 2026 onward.
