The successful candidate will play a key role in driving commercial performance across a portfolio of projects, working closely with operational, project and finance teams to ensure robust commercial governance, contractual compliance and strong financial outcomes. The Role As Commercial Manager, youll take ownership of the commercial performance of assigned projects, ensuring effective financial management, contractual compliance and commercial best practice throughout the project lifecycle. Working collaboratively with project teams, clients and supply chain partners, youll provide commercial leadership that supports successful project delivery while maximising value and managing risk. Key Responsibilities Lead the commercial function across designated projects, ensuring robust governance and financial control. Develop and implement commercial strategies to maximise project profitability, cash recovery and commercial performance. Prepare and manage Applications for Payment, ensuring accurate valuation of completed work and timely invoicing. Oversee forecasting, cost control, cash flow management and financial reporting. Administer NEC and other contract forms, ensuring contractual compliance and effective commercial management. Identify commercial risks and opportunities, implementing strategies to protect project performance. Lead commercial discussions with clients and subcontractors relating to Applications for Payment, variations and contractual matters. Work closely with operational teams to ensure commercial positions accurately reflect project activity and any changes in scope. Build strong working relationships across project, operational and finance teams to support successful project delivery. About You Were looking for an experienced Commercial Manager with a background in infrastructure, engineering or construction environments. Youll ideally have: Proven commercial management experience within major infrastructure, engineering or construction projects. Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts (ECC, PSC or similar) and associated commercial processes. Experience managing project finances, including forecasting, cost control, cash flow and cost-to-complete reporting. A track record of preparing, negotiating and agreeing Applications for Payment, variations and final accounts. Excellent commercial awareness with the ability to identify and mitigate contractual and financial risk. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across operational, project and finance teams. Experience working within major infrastructure environments would be highly advantageous. Whats on Offer?
