    I am looking for an Occupational Health Technician's to join my clients expanding peripatetic team.The successful applicant will be required to travel throughout the UK driving a Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) to client sites in order to deliver health surveillance services and be based in the Ipswich area.This is a full-time role where the successful applicant will work 37.5 hours per week, usually between the hours of 8am and 6pm.During the initial weeks of employment, the successful candidate will be required to utilise their personal vehicle or a company-provided hire car for transportation purposes. This interim measure will remain in effect until the delivery of a new company van can be facilitated.This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic and reliable individual to expand their skills and experience in a supportive environment, where youll be given a 4-week Training and Induction Programme with ongoing mentoring and support from the team.Key Responsibilities:
    Undertake health surveillance screening, including audiometry, lung function testing, and general baseline measurements such as height, weight, blood pressure, urinalysis To ensure all medical information is accurately recorded in the occupational health records and passed to the relevant clinical staff To ensure all equipment is serviceable, clean and fit for purpose To undertake and support additional tasks as requested, such as health promotion activities Support the wider occupational health team in their duties and ensure that all information is accurately gathered and recorded The screening procedures give the nursing and physician staff the biometric information they require to be able to make clinical decisions about patient management;Travel & Overnight staysYou must have the facility to park the MMU at or near your home address overnight and be comfortable with the travel required for the role, which will include regular overnight stays. We advise that you can be away from home for around 3 out of 4 weeks of the month, however we will always bring you home on the Friday for the weekend.To support a positive work life balance, you will have:
    Diary Visibility 6 weeks in advance £30 subsistence for each night you are away from home Access to a Premier Inn account for ease of booking Issue of a fuel card Plus your Birthday off (additional holiday)SalaryThe salary for this role is between £25,000K and £27,000K depending on experience and qualifications.Company BenefitsOne of the best things about joining our team is our rewards package.     Job Roles / Duties
    • To support the cost and tender opportunities within both the civil engineering and earthworks sectors, working alongside operational management.
    • Tender management to include site visits and to help scope the project whilst working with plans and construction details.
    • Monitoring the performance of contracts while managing cost reduction solutions.
    • Sub-Contractor, material, and plant procurement.
    • Manage risk, value engineering and cost-control measures.
    • Calculate quantities and cost for materials, labour, and timeframes.
    • Monthly applications and cost reporting.
    Job Skills
    • A degree or equivalent in quantity surveying.
    • Experience working with NEC contracts and other target costs or cost reimbursable contracts.
    • Excellent written, numerical and communication skills.
    • Ability to prepare and delivery presentations to clients and internal teams, with commercial awareness.
    • Project management capabilities and understanding of engineering & construction principles.
    • Proficiency with technology and surveying software.
    • Strong excel capabilities and proficient in the use of Microsoft office, word, project, and power point, as well as AutoCad, LSS and other 3D modelling systems.
    • Good interpersonal, relationship-building, teamwork, and motivational skills.
