You will be joining a team who pride their selves on giving excellent customer service, with a fast response resolving queries and supplying parts within very short lead times. ROLE: Our Client are market leaders and currently have an opening for a Estimator / Quote engineer to join their expanding sales team. Utilise industry knowledge, historical data, and estimating software to prepare accurate and competitive project cost estimates. Engage with clients during the process to clarify project requirements, address any inquiries, and build positive relationships. Stay informed about industry trends, material costs, and market conditions to provide up-to-date and competitive estimates. Requirements: Proven experience as an Estimator in the fabrication. Knowledge of steel fabrication processes, materials, and industry standards. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with a keen attention to detail. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Experienced in produce accurate, timely, and competitive quotations. Ensure compliance with client requirements. Some experience in the manufacture of sheet metal details, machined components, and sub-assemblies. Systematic and uniform approach to complete tasks in timely manner. Competent in job role, experience in a similar environment and open to learning. Adequate knowledge to undertake job role with potential to develop further through on job and vocational training. Continuous Improvement and Cost Saving expertise on manufactured parts and processes would be an advantage. Developed commercial and financial awareness. Ability to communicate written and orally both internally within the business and externally with customers. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.     Late Shift Uplift: 30% uplift for late shifts worked Job Purpose of a CNC programmer To set, program, and operate 3- to 5-axis CNC milling machines to produce high-quality precision components. The role includes supporting R&D with prototyping and development work, verifying and approving CNC programs using Cimco, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across production processes. Key Responsibilities Set up, program, and operate 3 and 5 axis CNC milling machines to produce precision-engineered components. Approve and verify CNC programs using Cimco software. Support R&D teams with prototyping and new product development. Ensure work is completed to the required quality, accuracy, and delivery standards. Conduct first-off inspections and maintain quality control throughout the production run. Drive Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and workflow across production processes. Strong understanding of CNC programming principles (Fanuc / Heidenhain / Siemens or equivalent). Experience working with 3- to 5-axis CNC machines. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Experience using Cimco or similar CNC verification software. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Good communication and teamwork skills.Working Hours Day Shift: Monday to Friday – 8:00am to 4:00pm Late Shift (when implemented): Monday to Thursday – 2:00pm to 10:00pm Friday – 8:00am to 4:00pm Late shift hours attract a 30% pay uplift. Note: Late shifts are not a permanent arrangement. Should they be required, discussions and consultations will be held with employees prior to implementation.
