    ADI Global Distribution now have the opportunity for Intrastat Analyst to join our Indirect Tax team based from our International Head Office in Chadderton, Oldham.Reporting to the Head of Indirect Tax, you will be responsible for the day-to-day compliance of multiple businesses throughout Europe, liaising with external advisors and supporting in-house VAT reporting. In this role, you will gain exposure to various VAT issues and related matters in the UK and in the EU. Reporting to the Head of Indirect Tax, you will focus on the preparation of monthly Intrastat declarations for multiple businesses throughout Europe. Additionally later in the month the role will focus on day-to-day compliance including VAT returns, liaising with external advisors and Tax Authorities where applicable. In this role you will gain exposure to various VAT issues and related matters in the UK and in the EU. JOB DUTIES:Prepare and file monthly Intrastat declarations for all ADI companies within the EUWork with Procurement and other teams to ensure all data fields required for Intrastat reporting are available in SAPPrepare and analyse reports to support team members in the month end processAssist with updating and maintaining Standard Operating Procedure documentationAssist the business with Tax authority queries and auditsAssist the business with ad hoc requests and internal auditsPrepare VAT Returns, EC Sales Lists, & other mandatory reports related to VATPrepare monthly VAT return overviews for Country Controllers to assist with approvalsPrepare data for submission of VAT payment requests; ensure deadlines for payment are met and highlight large month on month fluctuations in payments or refunds – this includes close working with Payment and Banking teamIdentify areas of incorrect VAT treatment as part of the VAT return process and communicate with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams regarding correct booking of documents from VAT perspectivePrepare monthly reconciliations of VAT Balance sheet accounts and posting of month end clearing journals.
