    We are seeking a motivated, compassionate, and resilient Team Manager to lead the Derby Safe Haven an out-of-hours, community-based service offering immediate emotional support to individuals experiencing mental health distress.The Derby Safe Haven operates from 4:30pm to 12:30am, seven days per week, and the Team Manager must be able to work flexibly in line with service need and rota allocation. The role involves some weekend working as part of the management rota, along with occasional daytime shifts (09:00–17:00) to support partnership engagement, promote the service externally, and attend commissioner or multi-agency meetings that fall within standard office hours.These working patterns are central to Safe Haven delivery and essential for providing strong, consistent leadership within an out-of-hours support environment.

    We support over 125,000 people each year through our 200 services, empowering individuals to overcome challenges around mental health, housing, and substance use.About the RoleThe successful applicant will work as part of a team delivering targeted interventions within Calderdale’s, Custody Suite, Providing Outreach and interventions, such as case management for those individuals in receipt of a community order. Working in Partnership with Integrated Offender Management (IOM) and Probation, to develop and deliver a local and collective response to persistent and problematic offending. The aim is to reduce the negative impact of crime and reoffending by working in partnership to identify and manage individuals who have committed prolific and repeat offences in local communities, to reduce the risk of reoffending, by supporting the reduction of substance-related harm to individuals and the wider community.What You’ll DoManage a caseload by creating, implementing, and reviewing ongoing recovery and treatment plans.Facilitate and promote the progression of individuals from initial engagement into structured treatment.Contribute to reducing substance-related harm to individuals and the wider community.Collaborate closely with key partners and colleagues to achieve the best health and wellbeing outcomes for individuals.Have Excellent boundaries and ability to apply ‘co-production’ principles to any stage of treatment and recovery.Be Able to think creatively about treatment options, changes and transitions in the context of a multi-disciplinary and multi-agency approach.Encourage service users to become involved in the service and in service user forums in Calderdale that will enhance their experience and increase a sense of belonging.By working diligently and proactively, as part of an integrated multi-agency team, you will apply intensive and co-created recovery solutions, enabling health & well-being improvements that are meaningful and sustainable.You will provide substance misuse-specific knowledge and interventions, offering the right treatment to people, where they are at. You will be ensuring that ample treatment intensity is provided, at the appropriate pace and be able to think ahead making sure that doors are opened for enhanced recovery and mutually agreed ‘successful outcomes’ are achieved. Working to a Strength-Based Approach focusing on individuals and community assets, you will work alongside other frontline practitioners.You will be resourceful, able to articulate yourself appropriately on behalf of your service users and resilient to change and challenges.
