You will be responsible for ensuring the effective delivery, quality and integrity of the TC model while supporting the team to deliver excellent outcomes for residents You will have a strong presence in the community supporting staff to deliver high quality daily group work and structured therapeutic activities.As the Therapeutic Community Service Manager, you will provide visible, value-led leadership to our established Therapeutic Community, ensuring the integrity of the TC model is upheld at all times.     As a Hospital Liaison Worker, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the engagement of individuals with alcohol or drug concerns within our treatment services.

    The hospital liaison worker will be based at our main offices (590 Seven Sisters Road), the role will also require working from North Middlesex University Hospital as services users are met in hospital and linked into the community service. The worker will support high intensity users and those who frequently attend hospital, ensuring that they are able to find suitable treatment in the community. The ideal candidate would be proactive, empathetic and courageous. Ready to meet our service users where there are.Your responsibilities will include:Providing 1:1 psychosocial intervention to repeat attending patients at on the wards and in ED, engaging them in our wider drug and alcohol treatment services in Haringey .You will carry out initial screening and triage assessment for new clients, and provide crisis intervention and duty services on a rota basis.Liaising with other services including mental health, primary care, disabilities, social care, and any other relevant services in response to service user needs.Monitoring, reporting on, and improving outcomes across a range of measures, particularly to reduce preventable GP attendances, urgent care centre attendances, A&E attendances, hospital admissions, and ambulance call-outs for the service users in the “frequent attender” cohort.Conducting hospital ward rounds to identify those with alcohol-specific needs and engage them in treatment.Traveling to various locations within Haringey, to make contact and build up relationships with the hospital “frequent attenders” through regular and consistent contact episodes and motivational interviewing oriented interventions.Advocating on behalf of service users in obtaining assistance with housing, benefits, mental and physical health care, and access to substance misuse treatment services at whichever tier is appropriate.Assisting service users in developing strategies, which improve self-esteem, social skills, and psychological wellbeing that supports their rehabilitation from alcohol misuse.About you...Experience working within a health and social care, community or hospital setting.Experience with motivational interviewing.An understanding of substance misuse.If you are committed to making a real difference in the lives of individuals struggling with and alcohol or drug -related issues, we would love to hear from you.     We are currently looking to build our Recovery Co-ordination team and as an Apprentice Recovery Coordinator, you can expect the following:You will be supported to build the skills and knowledge to be able to provide specialist, tailored support to enable service users to make positive changes. You will work towards managing a caseload by creating, implementing, and reviewing recovery and treatment plans.You will contribute towards reducing substance-related harm to individuals and the wider community.You will work towards completing the Level 2 apprenticeship in Adult Care with a local training provider. This will include achieving Level 1 in functional skills (Maths & English) if you haven’t already. About you:You will have a passion for making a difference and fair chances for all should be at the core of everything you do.You will be empathic and understanding in nature. As the role requires you to engage with study you must be willing to undertake a Level 2 apprenticeship in Adult Care with a local training provider. If you have existing health and social care qualifications at level 2 or higher then this may impact on your eligibility to undertake the role.A basic understanding of IT would be useful too as you will be using a laptop to help you carry out your job.Waythrough recognises and values the support lived experience can offer individuals, this role encourages applicants who may have personal lived experience of alcohol/substance use and/or experience of accessing recovery services in support of alcohol/substance use/mental health issues.
