Given the fabulous approach to recruitment, our client may well consider Bookkeepers who are currently on their journey to becoming fully accomplished. This is one role you don't want to miss out on. So, whats the purpose of the Bookkeeper? Reporting to a very supportive Manager, you will support all aspects of general bookkeeping within the business to contribute to the achievement of financial objectives. Ideally you will possess previous experience within Practice. What are the main aspects of the Bookkeeper? Sage / Xero / Quick Books Payroll starters, leavers, etc. Dealing with PAYE, online submissions, SSP, SMP, AEO's, student loans etc Bookkeeping to trial balance. VAT Returns CIS payments Processing payments via BACS Year End processes Dealing with HMRC Liaising with clients, partners and Managers to ensure all information is received correctly. RTI, informing clients on RTI and Pension Reforms Experience of Tax returns would be ideal but not essential. And a lot more to get your teeth into Who do we want from the Bookkeeper? This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established organisation that is continuing to invest in both its operations and finance function. The role is ideally suited to candidates based in Loughborough, Nottingham, Derby and Leicester / Leicestershire. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this exciting Finance Business Partner role has been created to support the continued growth of the business. Whilst the production and review of management accounts will form part of the role, this is not a traditional month-end focused position, with management accounts accounting for approximately 25% of responsibilities. The majority of your time will be spent understanding the numbers behind the accounts, delivering meaningful variance analysis, looking at where you can add value, supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, producing board-level insights and helping operational stakeholders make better commercial decisions through high-quality financial analysis. Suitable candidates may currently be working as a Finance Business Partner, Management Accountant, Commercial Accountant or Senior Finance Analyst and will possess strong Excel skills. Exposure to Power BI would be advantageous. Candidates studying towards, or qualified in, CIMA, ACCA or ACA will be considered, alongside driven qualified-by-experience professionals.
