A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A DEPUTY GENERAL MANAGER HERE AT HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS - LONDON LIMEHOUSE What you'll be doing... Reporting to the General Manager, you can expect your working day to include the following. As a Deputy General Manager you must be self-motivated and be an inspirational leader, who believes in delivering the best possible standards in guest service, continually leading your team by example. The role requires excellent interpersonal skills, and you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of the hotel, ensuring the highest standards of service and guest satisfaction.
    You will be responsible for managing various departments, optimizing operational efficiencies, and fostering a positive and productive work environment. Your leadership will be instrumental in maintaining our reputation for excellence and driving the continued success of our hotel.
    If you are a strategic thinker with a passion for hospitality and a proven track record in hotel management, we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity Your key areas of responsibility will include: Oversee daily hotel operations, ensuring all departments (Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, Maintenance) are running smoothly and efficiently. Lead and manage department heads and staff, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure high levels of service. Monitor guest feedback and address any complaints or concerns promptly, ensuring high levels of guest satisfaction. Review financial performance, including key metrics such as occupancy rates, revenue per available room (RevPAR), and F&B revenue, and implement strategies to improve profitability. Ensure the hotel meets or exceeds quality standards for cleanliness, maintenance, and guest safety through regular inspections and evaluations. Collaborate with Finance, Revenue, Sales, Marketing, and HR to align operational goals with overall business objectives and maximize revenue. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, lead staff training on emergency procedures and best practices. Communicate operational performance and challenges to senior management through regular reports on guest satisfaction, financial results, and operational metrics. Maintain clear communication and coordination between departments to ensure a seamless guest experience and operational efficiency. AN EVENING IN THE LIFE OF NIGHT AUDITOR AT OUR HOTEL What you'll be doing...Balance and reconcile daily financial transactions, including room revenue, food and beverage sales, and other chargesPrepare end-of-day financial reports for management, ensuring accuracy in accounting records and resolving discrepanciesCheck in late arrivals, assist guests with any inquiries, and provide overnight front desk support, ensuring a seamless guest experienceConduct regular security checks throughout the hotel premises to ensure guest and property safetyCollaborate with the front office and accounting teams to address any issues identified during the night auditMaintain clear communication with the day team by preparing handover notes and ensuring all relevant information is recordedHandle any emergency situations overnight, acting as the point of contact and coordinating with necessary departments
    WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
    Previous experience in hospitality or finance roles, with an understanding of accounting principlesStrong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly in financial reconciliationGood communication skills and the ability to handle guest enquiries professionallyBasic IT skills and familiarity with property management systems (PMS)Flexibility to work night shifts and the ability to remain focused and productive
