We are seeking an experienced Legal Cashier to join our busy Finance team in St Albans. This is a great opportunity to work in a supportive firm with opportunities for development. This role is full-time, however we are also open to speaking with candidates seeking a part-time opportunity. Key ResponsibilitiesDaily processing and allocation of client account receipts (BACS, CHAPS, card, cheques)Client to Office transfers in line with Solicitors Accounts RulesTaking client payments via virtual card terminalsCounsel and expert ledger management, including posting disbursements in XeroSupporting fee earners with cashiering queries and file closuresPreparing client cash statements and returning residual balancesProcessing WIP/disbursement write-offs and raising credit notesProcessing purchase invoices, supplier payments and expensesBank and supplier ledger reconciliationsEnsuring compliance with SRA, AML and HMRC VAT requirements Skills & ExperienceExperience in a legal cashiering role within a law firm Strong knowledge of Solicitors Accounts RulesHighly organised, accurate and detail-focusedAble to prioritise workload and manage multiple inboxesConfident communicator with a flexible, hands-on approachBasic Excel skills; Xero experience desirable BenefitsAt Rayden Solicitors, we believe our employees are integral to our success.
