We are looking for a Team Leader in our Tova residential home, to join our friendly team within Ravenswood Village. Tova is a residential service that supports people with neurodevelopmental disabilities to live their best lives.
The purpose of this role is to oversee the delivery of care and support within the home to ensure high quality of service provided. The majority of your time will be leading and supervising support workers to make sure that the care and support provided is person-centred and that each person living in the home is given information and advice in an accessible way that enables them to make informed decisions about their care and support. As a Team Leader you will also be involved in the recruiting and training of support workers as well as assisting the Home Manager in finances, rosters, reporting, maintenance and Health and Safety.
The ideal Care Team Leader must be a great communicator, work well within a team and have strong time management and leadership skills. Norwood works with local authorities to deliver wide ranging services including residential and supported living accommodation, short break facilities as well as a range of support groups aimed at the whole family, not just the individual.
About Tova:
Tova is a single level ground floor home that supports seven people who are aged from their early twenties to their late sixties. All have severe learning disabilities, epilepsy and physical support needs. The majority of the people we support do not communicate verbally. Instead, they use alternative methods of communication such as objects of reference, verbal sounds, facial expressions and body language and Makaton.
All of the people living in Tova require a high level of support in all aspects of their lives including personal care, mobilising, meal preparation, mealtimes (eating & drinking) and activities. The people we support living in Tova have varied hobbies and interests and lifestyles. These include swimming, trampolining, trampolining, arts and crafts, baking, sensory sessions, music sessions, bingo, karaoke, meals out, theatre, bowling, stickers, walks, gardening and holidays.

Norwood is currently recruiting a full time Physical Activity Practitioner to join the Health and Wellbeing services team to support with physical activity provision for adults with neurodevelopmental disabilities within Ravenswood Village. Our fantastic site near Crowthorne, is made up of eleven residential homes, set within a rural site which boasts an activity centre, hydrotherapy pool and horse-riding centre.
The Physical Activity Practitioner will be responsible for delivering wellbeing and physical activity programmes in response to the needs of the people we support in the village. This can be facilitating group and 1:1 sessions for a bespoke, person-centred service consisting of health walks, bike club, rebound therapy on the trampoline and guided sessions within the hydrotherapy pool.
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a big difference as part of a small and committed team of professionals. Full training will be provided to the successful individual around life saving and rebound therapy if required.
