The Group has indirect tax responsibilities for over 80 legal entities across the UK, Europe, Asia and US. We are seeking a VAT Manager to join our in‑house Indirect Tax Advisory function.The Indirect Tax Advisory team is responsible for delivering high‑quality VAT advice to the business, shaping the Group’s VAT strategy, and driving risk management and operational efficiencies. This team provides expert guidance to support commercial decision‑making, including advising on new business offerings, cross‑border transactions, and complex VAT matters. It also supports the Tax compliance team on tax treatment questions.The role focuses on supporting the business on UK/EU VAT matters, identifying indirect tax risks, enhancing controls, and driving process improvements. The successful candidate will provide advisory support across the organisation and contribute to the development of a robust VAT framework.


    Key ResponsibilitiesAdvisory & Business PartneringProvide practical and timely VAT advice to business stakeholders across operational and finance teams.Support business initiatives, projects, and transactional workflows by ensuring correct VAT treatment.Review, strengthen, and maintain VAT controls, processes, and documentation.Identify opportunities for process and systems improvement, including alignment with finance systems and reporting tools.Contribute to VAT considerations for system or process changes across the business.Deliver VAT training and guidance to non‑tax teams (e.g., Accounts Payable, Sales, Finance Operations).Act as a point of contact for VAT-related queries from internal teams.Assist the Head of Indirect Tax with HMRC enquiries, information requests, and audit queries.Support the review of VAT returns and related compliance tasks where required.Mentor junior team members, providing feedback and reviewing their work as required.
    Qualifications

    Experience & Qualifications4-6 years of hands‑on UK VAT experience gained in practice or industry.Requires both solid theoretical knowledge and practical, hands‑on advisory experience in UK VAT legislation, VAT accounting processes, and reporting requirements.Professional qualification such as ACCA, ACA, ATT, or HMRC VAT‑trained equivalent.Experience supporting finance system changes or process improvement projects.Exposure to advisory work on transactions or cross‑functional projects.

    The role of Finance Manager is really important to us. You will be responsible for all aspects of our Vehicle Solution Accounting and Financial Control function. 
     Your responsibilities day to day will be…Full ownership for the RVS UK business, including accounts production adhering to group deadlines, balance sheet production and maintenance, and cash flow forecasts.Develop and implement strong controls and procedures within the finance area, providing a strong base for the continued growth of the business.Identification of business risks and performance of monthly control procedures.Implementation of robust processes that drive efficiency and effectiveness through team development and technical advances.Day to day supervision of at least two trainee management accountants.Production and presentation of monthly performance analysis and financial reporting.Support the head of finance in the annual budgeting and forecasting process. Be the main focal point for audit queries, responding in a helpful and timely manner in line with deadlines.
    Qualifications

    Qualified CIMA, ACCA, ACA or qualified by experience accountantA logical thinker and problem solverExcellent attention to detailEmbraces and drives changeA strong communicator both written and verbal
