Please note that we will ask for proof of your immigration status during the application process Radis Community Care have an opportunity for a Care Worker to join our Emergency Care Scheme in Gloucester. The scheme supports unpaid carers when there is an emergency and they are unable to provide support for their loved one by providing a temporary package of care up to 48 hours for their loved ones in their own home. About the roleThe successful candidate would need to be able to be ‘on call’ for a period of a few days at a time. During this period, you would need to be able to respond to a referral. If you are not required to attend any calls out you will be paid 11 hours a day at the on call rate.If you do have to attend a call out you would be required to attend the client within a 2 hour period and possibly stay with the client up to 48 hours depending on the circumstances.     Our carers strive to help residents to retain as much independence as possible, for as long as possible and are on-site 24/7. Care is tailored to the needs of each person, provided within the comfort and privacy of their own flat and can range from a little help daily to support throughout the day and night time.

    About the role

    As a Support Worker in our Extra Care Scheme you will be supporting people who are over the age of 55 enabling them to maintain their independence

    The role will require you to assist residents with personal care activities or light domestic tasks. You will have the opportunity to take part in physical and mental stimulation by taking part in recreational and social activities, both individually and as a group.

    The role is to promote independence, choice, dignity and respect by delivering the best standard of care.
