About the Role About the RoleThe Business Engagement & Experiential Learning Manager plays a central role in connecting students with external partners to deliver high-quality, curriculum-embedded experiential learning opportunities. The post holder will develop and sustain strategic partnerships with employers, industry, and international organisations, ensuring these relationships translate into meaningful student experiences that enhance employability, global awareness, and academic outcomes.The role sits at the intersection of partnership development, curriculum innovation, and student outcomes, contributing to institutional priorities around employability, co-created curriculum, and global engagement.About YouYou will be an experienced and proactive professional with a strong track record of developing partnerships, building stakeholder relationships and delivering initiatives that create positive outcomes for students and organisations. You will possess excellent communication, influencing and relationship management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with employers, academics, alumni and external partners. Experience of employer engagement, experiential learning, employability or partnership development is essential, alongside the ability to manage projects, analyse information and deliver results in a complex environment. A strong understanding of the higher education sector, student employability and curriculum innovation would be advantageous. You will also have experience of leading teams or initiatives and be committed to delivering an outstanding experience for students and external partners.About the School/Department/Institute/ProjectThe School of Business and Management (SBM) is made up of 5 departments, covering Accounting & Financial Management, Business & Society, Marketing, People & Organisations, and Business Analytics & Applied Economics. The School has approximately 3000 undergraduate students, 800 postgraduate taught students and 100 PhD students.
