    Bodyshop Manager Salary: £65,000 - £91,400 OTE Hours: 50 hours per week including paid breaks, Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 5:00pm Bodyshop Manager | York Pybus Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting for an experienced and driven Bodyshop Manager to join a leading accident repair centre in York. This is an exciting opportunity to take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of a busy, modern repair facility, ensuring exceptional standards of quality, customer service, productivity, and team performance are maintained at all times. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth running of the workshop while supporting and developing the team. Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will work in a fast-paced, professional environment where operational excellence and customer satisfaction are at the heart of everything you do. If you are a motivated leader with a strong understanding of vehicle repair processes and a passion for delivering outstanding results, we would love to hear from you. Key Responsibilities The role will include, but is not limited to: Ensure the team is ready to begin work at 7:00am, including opening the workshop and preparing equipment. Hold daily morning meetings to allocate work, communicate targets, and address operational issues. Oversee the correct use of equipment, tools, and PPE, promoting a safe and efficient working environment. Liaise with senior management regarding vehicle progress, workload, and operational challenges. Ensure repair management systems are updated accurately to provide customers with timely progress updates. Order parts for upcoming repairs at least three business days in advance where possible. Manage workshop capacity and vehicle throughput effectively. Ensure all repair documentation and image records are completed accurately. Monitor and control wet and dry stock levels. Maintain quality control standards throughout every stage of the repair process. Drive performance, productivity, and customer satisfaction across the operation. Support the ongoing development and wellbeing of team members. What We're Looking For Previous experience in a Bodyshop Manager, Workshop Manager, or similar leadership role within the accident repair industry. Strong understanding of vehicle repair processes and workshop operations. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. Confident communication and leadership abilities. Strong IT and systems proficiency. Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines. A collaborative approach with a commitment to supporting and developing others.
