    Pushforward are an exciting alternative provision education company. We aim to give those who struggle to fit into the standard school model a better chance for their future.

    We are currently seeking a dedicated and adaptable Motor Vehicle Mechanic Manager.

    You will be able to not only teach your passion to students (16-25yrs), but also support them through qualifications, support the existing team and manage our garage units in East Anglia.

    You'll be working with incredible young people on a 1-2-1 basis, who need to progress through educational in a different way.

    They will have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and may sometimes display behaviours that require nurturing and understanding. Our learners thrive with people who are patient, enthusiastic, and genuinely committed to helping young people overcome barriers and unlock their potential.

    Although the skills, knowledge and experience are essential, the role is primarily a tutoring position and the ability to link practical skills to accredited outcomes is a priority.

    What You'll Do:

    Deliver engaging and hands-on motor vehicle training sessions
    Support learners in developing practical skills and industry knowledge
    Support learners through their qualifications
    Support the existing team of mechanics with their students
    Build positive and supportive relationships to inspire and motivate
    Work collaboratively within a supportive, learner-focused team
    Adapt to timetable changes and support in other curriculum areas when needed
    Develop a high quality curriculum in the mechanics and engineering sector in line with learner and company requirements.
    Develop a mobile mechanics unit with students to be used with those not able to get to site and to develop real world experience.
    Develop static mechanics units in new areas such as Ipswich, Essex, Cambridge
    Also work in our existing garage facility in Newmarket.

    Must have:

    Hold a NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Motor Vehicle or significant real world experience.
    Hold a DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply for a new one).
    If you have a teaching qualification that is an advantage, but not essential as we will provide training in this area.

    Term Time Only: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm with 1/2 hour for lunch (Part-time options are available).

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: £31,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
