You will manage a varied caseload of pre- and post-litigation housing conditions claims on behalf of tenants, playing a key role in the continued development of the team and with clear scope for progression.

    The Role
    You will have full responsibility for your own caseload, handling matters efficiently in a fast-paced, volume litigation environment, while maintaining high standards of technical work and client care.
    Key responsibilities include:
    Managing pre- and post-litigation Housing Disrepair claims from inception to settlement or trialComplying with the Housing Conditions Pre-Action ProtocolDrafting Letters of Claim, pleadings, schedules of special damages and court documentsReviewing housing records, disclosure and surveyor reports (Claimant and Defendant)Assessing liability and quantumConducting negotiations, settlements and mediationsIssuing proceedings and liaising with counsel where requiredMaintaining accurate case files using Proclaim or similar case management systemsBuilding strong client relationships and delivering excellent client careWorking collaboratively with internal teams, experts and external stakeholdersSupporting departmental productivity, compliance and service standardsAbout You3–5 years’ PQE with demonstrable experience in Housing Disrepair claims (essential)
