A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-established, independent small animal practice in a beautiful coastal village setting. This role has become available due to a beloved long-standing vet transitioning into a different role, offering the chance to step into a key position within the team.
This is a particularly appealing role for a vet with a surgical bias. You'll be taking on a good volume of procedures day-to-day, typically around three operations per day, including a strong element of dentistry. The practice operates a one pet, one vet approach, so there's real continuity with cases and the opportunity to build lasting relationships with clients while seeing cases through from start to finish.
The team itself is close-knit and supportive, made up of 4 vets and 5 nurses, with a strong emphasis on collaboration and maintaining a positive working environment. The clinic is well-equipped with digital radiography (including dental), ultrasound, and a full in-house lab, and there is a genuine openness to investing further to support clinical interests and development.
The role is full-time (40 hours) with a light weekend commitment of 1 in 3 Saturday mornings, and minimal sole charge, mainly limited to weekends. They're ideally looking for someone with 3+ years' experience who is confident in surgery and enjoys working cases up to a high standard.
Located in a stunning seaside setting, this position offers an excellent work-life balance alongside a relaxed, community-focused pace of life - perfect if you enjoy being close to the coast while still having access to nearby towns and cities.
On offer is a salary of up to £70,000 depending on experience, alongside support for CPD and certificates.
