The Opportunity
A modern and fully equipped small animal practice in South Wales is expanding its services to include Out-of-Hours (OOH) care and is seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join their OOH team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a newly developing niche in the market, delivering exceptional care to clients overnight while supporting pets in need.
About the Practice
Independently owned, open for 2 years, with a close-knit teamFully equipped with digital X-ray, ultrasound, and endoscopy (to be purchased)Day team of 3 vets and 5 nurses, expanding to a 4-vet OOH teamModern facility designed for efficiency and excellent patient careStrong focus on clinical excellence, teamwork, and professional development
The Role
OOH roster: 19:0008:30, 7 nights on / 14 nights offSole charge responsibilities supported by experienced RVNsFlexible approach to case management and clinical decision-makingOpportunity to shape a growing service and influence practice developmentSupport for CPD (£2,000 allowance) and additional professional growth
Candidate Requirements
Small animal experience required, ideally 2+ years UK practiceNewly qualified candidates will not be consideredConfident with emergency and critical care casesExcellent communication skills and team-oriented approach
