The Production Support Operator will play a key role in reducing downtime by coordinating material movements, managing the heating plan, operating the filtration press, and ensuring production areas remain organised, compliant and ready for manufacture. Responsibilities: Production Support - Operate the filtration press in accordance with approved manufacturing instructions and safe systems of work. - Transfer product from holding tank to the filtration press and monitor the filtration process. - Complete filtration records and report any deviations immediately. - Assist Production Operators during busy periods to maintain production schedules. - Ensure production vessels receive the correct raw materials and packaging in a timely manner. - Prepare work areas to minimise delays between batches. Material Handling - Safely operate a Counterbalance Forklift Truck. - Transport raw materials, intermediates and finished goods between storage locations and production. - Supply production with materials in accordance with the manufacturing schedule. - Return unused materials to designated storage locations. - Assist with loading outgoing products where required. Production Planning Support - Maintain the site heating plan to ensure temperature-sensitive materials are conditioned and available for manufacture. - Monitor stock levels of production consumables including filter media, gaff bags and packaging materials. - Assist Production Supervisors with stock checks and inventory accuracy. - Ensure production areas are prepared for upcoming manufacturing campaigns Housekeeping Site Standards - Maintain high housekeeping standards across production, press and yard areas. - Keep all walkways, storage areas and production support areas organised and free from obstruction. - Inspect spill kits, absorbents and emergency equipment, reporting deficiencies. - Support waste segregation and solvent recovery activities. Safety, Quality Compliance - Work in accordance with COMAH requirements, site procedures and Permit to Work systems. - Comply with all Quality, Environmental and Health Safety procedures. - Wear and maintain the correct PPE at all times. - Report hazards, near misses and unsafe conditions immediately. - Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
