Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline into 2026-2027 they are recruiting a Mechanical Design Engineer for the Bristol office. You will gain exposure across the full multi disciplinary process working alongside Electronics, Software and Human Factors teams. The work is varied, technically challenging and suits someone who enjoys solving real engineering problems rather than repetitive design tasks. You will also take ownership of technical work packages or small projects, contribute to larger proposals and take responsibility for your own development. This Mechanical Design Engineer role is ideal for someone who wants full lifecycle involvement with genuine technical variety. You will work across concept generation, detailed mechanical design, CFD or FEA analysis, prototype builds, hands-on test activity and preparation for manufacture. Projects typically involve complex electromechanical assemblies used in regulated sectors so strong engineering judgement and a structured approach are essential.     Rate: £300+ per day (DOE) Overview We are seeking an experienced M&E Site Manager to oversee a CHP (Combined Heat & Power) replacement project within a live hospital environment in Leicestershire. This is a critical role requiring strong technical expertise, excellent stakeholder management, and the ability to maintain strict safety, compliance, and operational continuity within a sensitive healthcare setting. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the on‑site delivery of a CHP replacement project from mobilisation through to handover. Coordinate all mechanical and electrical installation works to ensure programme, quality, and safety targets are met. Manage subcontractors, ensuring work is delivered to specification and in compliance with hospital protocols. Conduct daily site inspections, toolbox talks, and ensure adherence to RAMS and all applicable H&S legislation. Maintain close communication with hospital estates teams to mitigate operational disruptions in a live environment. Oversee permit‑to‑work processes, site access, and all associated documentation. Review technical drawings, method statements, and ensure installation aligns with design requirements. Produce daily reports, progress updates, and escalate any risks to the project management team. Ensure project completion, testing, and commissioning activities are carried out efficiently. Requirements Proven experience as an M&E Site Manager on complex building services or energy‑based projects. Strong background in CHP systems, plantroom works, or large‑scale M&E replacement projects. Experience working in live hospital or healthcare environments (highly desirable). In‑depth understanding of mechanical and electrical building services. SMSTS or SSSTS, CSCS, First Aid (minimum). Excellent communication, leadership, and coordination skills. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and uphold strict safety standards. Rate & Benefits £300+ per day, depending on experience and qualifications. Weekly payments.
