Proactive Personnel Ltd are currently recruiting for our client in the Loughborough area for a number of skilled Welder / Fabricators.We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in welding and fabrication, demonstrating proficiency in various welding techniques and the ability to work with different materials. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work while adhering to safety standards.
Responsibilities Perform stick welding and other welding techniques as required to fabricate components.
Assemble metal parts and structures according to specifications and engineering drawings.
Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and finishing materials.
Fabricate sheet metal components, ensuring precision and quality in all work.
Conduct inspections of completed welds to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following all safety protocols.
Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
Apply basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
Demonstrate mechanical knowledge in troubleshooting equipment issues as they arise. Qualifications Proven experience in welding, particularly stick welding, with a strong understanding of various welding techniques.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and equipment associated with fabrication processes.
Mechanical knowledge is essential for interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
Ability to fabricate components from sheet metal with precision.
Basic maths skills are required for accurate measurements and calculations.
Strong attention to detail, ensuring high-quality workmanship in all tasks performed.
