    What you'll be doing
    We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. In this rewarding role, you will provide the highest standard of person-centred support and care, enabling the people who use our service to live with dignity, independence, and choice.

    Support workers are key workers, and provide direct support to our service users in support them to live there best lives. Our work is rewarding but can be challenging, so resilience is key.     You will play a vital part in helping individuals achieve their personal goals, supporting them in daily living, and empowering them to realise their potential.

    Key Responsibilities

    Provide personal care and support with daily living tasks. Encourage and assist participation in activities and community life. Support service users in achieving their personal outcomes in the way they choose. Maintain accurate records, care plans, charts, and daily notes. Build positive relationships with service users, families, colleagues, and stakeholders. Uphold safety, security, and confidentiality in line with policies and regulations. Act as a key worker for individuals, helping them to set goals and track progress. Promote choice, independence, and involvement at all times. Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing ideas and suggestions.

It provides residential support for males and females with acquired brain injuries (ABI), progressive neurological conditions (PNC), and associated complex physical health needs, including those with complex respiratory requirements such as tracheostomies and mechanical ventilation.

    What you'll be doing
    You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our residents wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of residents. 

    You will ensure our residents have any personal needs or requirements met; including any personal care, participation in activities or support with daily living tasks You'll complete daily admin including updating person centred support and care plans, updating charts and completing accurate daily notes  Maintain professional relationships whilst developing a good rapport with the people who use our service, their family, colleagues, visitors and other stakeholders   Provide advice and guidance to less experienced staff undertaking similar duties.  Assist qualified clinicians (nurses and therapists) in the delivery of complex care needs, rehabilitation therapies and activities under their direction and supervision as part of the multidisciplinary team

    Newhouse has an opportunity for a Support Worker to join our team. This role is for night shifts with 4 shifts for one week, and 3 shifts for the next.

    Newhouse is located in the semi-rural village of Hurlford, near Kilmarnock, Scotland. Our home offers residential support for 22 adults with a primary learning disability diagnosis, who may also have mental health needs or be on the autism spectrum.

    What you'll be doing
    You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our residents wellbeing.
