    Support Worker – Preston Pay: From Real Living Wage and above (dependent on experience and shift type) Hours: Full-time / Part-time / Flexible shifts (including waking nights) Contract: Agency / Ongoing flexible work Precedo Healthcare are seeking experienced support workers to work within a supported living residential unit in Preston, and other surrounding area’s , which provides high-quality 24-hour supported living services to adults aged 18+ with mental health needs, learning disabilities, autism, and associated conditions, enabling people to live as independently as possible, and lead fulfilling lives within their local community. Precedo Support Workers will be supporting the service to promote a person-centred and recovery-focused goal, working with flexible support tailored to each individual’s unique needs. Who We Support: Our support worker will supporting adults who may need support due to: Learning disabilities Autism and associated conditions Mental health conditions or dementia Physical or sensory disabilities Drug or alcohol issues Acquired brain injuries Frailty due to age Certain physical illnesses About the Role: As an experienced Support Worker, you’ll play a key role in supporting people with complex needs to live independently and achieve their goals. You’ll work as part of a dedicated, skilled, and compassionate established team to deliver personalised care and support. Duties may include but not limited to: Support individuals to build everyday living skills such as cooking, cleaning, and shopping Assist with personal care and medication management Support people in maintaining tenancies and understanding tenancy agreements Promote community involvement, helping individuals to access services and build relationships Encourage and enable choice, decision-making, and independence Assist in accessing education, training, employment, and leisure activities Help people apply for and manage benefits What We’re Looking For: Previous experience working as a support worker in a similar care/support setting A person-centred, empathetic, and respectful approach Strong communication skills and a positive attitude Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins if required A full UK driving licence is a plus but not essential Precedo Healthcare is committed to equality, diversity, and safeguarding.     Precedo are recruiting experienced Support workers to join our Agency as a support worker initially working with one of our clients via Precedo,  with the option to join their team as a permanent staff member following 12 weeks on agency. You must be able to commit your full availability for the first 12 weeks- These support worker roles are based at a specialist adult supported living service in Darwen and Blackburn. . Candidate must hold a uk work status that does not require employer facilitation Position Overview: Support Worker Initial 12 week rota managed by Precedo Healthcare- working with the clients as a support worker. Upon successful completion, possible option into a permanent role with the client in a support worker role or Option to remain registered with Precedo for additional shift support worker opportunities Key Details: Shift Pattern: 12-hour shifts –8am-8pm (Days) | 8pm-8am (Nights) Support Ratio: Working on a 2:1 due to complex needs Service operates 24/7– full flexibility and availability required Training Requirements: NAPPI Training (Non-Abusive Psychological and Physical Intervention) is desired- client willing to provide NAPPI training free of charge for committed staff. Due to the nature of the role this position requires experienced Support workers only, who are able to provide UK references.  All roles are subject to enhanced DBS checks and satisfactory references.
