    Job PurposeAs a HGV Driver, you will play a key role in our busy depot, supporting the Rental, Sales, and Service teams by delivering and collecting generators and associated equipment. The ideal candidate will operate a variety of vehicles from our extensive fleet, including 6- and 8-wheeler rigid lorry-loaders with or without drawbar trailers, tractor units with 45’ flatbed trailers, fuel tankers, and 4x4s. Our customer base is diverse, ranging from utility providers to event companies and construction firms. You’ll often visit challenging sites and will be expected to provide top-quality service to our valued customers. Key Tasks & Main Duties Deliver and Collect Generators
    Safely transport generators and ancillary equipment for hire or sale to and from customer sites, using any of the varied vehicles in our fleet. Load and offload Equipment
    Load and offload generators and associated equipment in our yard or at customer sites, ensuring correct placement according to customer requirements. Equipment Setup and Demonstration
    Start generators upon delivery, connect fuel tanks, run initial checks, and provide customers with basic operational guidance. Fuel Deliveries
    Deliver fuel to customer sites using fuel tankers or 4x4s with bowsers as required. Equipment Check and Security
    Verify that all equipment loaded matches the corresponding paperwork, securing it properly for transport. Assist with Cable Management
    Support customers by helping to run out and roll up cables on-site, as necessary. Maintenance and Housekeeping
    Assist with basic maintenance tasks when in the yard, including equipment cleaning. Maintain a tidy, safe work environment and comply with the Company Health & Safety Policy, ensuring company vehicles remain clean and organised. Compliance with Health and Safety Regulations
    Adhere to relevant regulations such as Tachograph Regulations, European Working Time Directive, and vehicle safety checklists, as well as ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 procedures, proactively contributing to our continuous improvement programme. Skills & Experience Required Essential HGV License (C+E / Old Class 1) Experience with Relevant Vehicle Types: (e.g., rigid wagon with drawbar trailer rated to 44 tonnes, tractor unit with 45’ flatbed trailer) Hi-AB or at least grab experience Digital Tachograph Holder Flexible Working Hours: Ability to accommodate early starts and late finishes based on business needs. Desirable Lorry Loader License (Hook): ALLMI or RTITB preferred, with proven loader experience ADR License: At least Class 3, covering Tanks & Packages Driver’s CPC Training Certification CSCS Card Holder Note: Due to the nature of our work, DBS checks are required, and any job offer is conditional upon receiving satisfactory references. What will you be doing in this role? Sales & Contract Management Prepare and issue quotations for service contracts. Track and chase service contract renewals. Renew customer service contracts and update associated documentation. Set up new service contract numbers and maintain accurate customer records. Produce and maintain renewal and service due reports. Customer Service & Relationship Management Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, acting as a key point of contract for service-related queries. Respond promptly to web and email queries. Liaise with customers and internal teams to resolve invoice or account-related issues. Update customer contact information and ensure customer intelligence remains current. Support in preparing documentation for customer audits and compliance checks. Administration & Coordination Manage and maintain pre-qualification documentation, certifications, and tender submissions. Regularly check “Find a Tender” for a new business opportunities. Process job sheet requests and raise service work orders (A Serv, B Serv, LBK & monthly services) Monitor the Service Due Tracker weekly and ensure timely scheduling. Review SLAs and prepare documentation for management approval. Coordinate with the accounts team to manage invoicing, credit notes, and aged debt follow-up. Ensure all purchase orders (Pos) and contract are verified and logged accurately. Skills and requirements Previous experience in a sales coordination, service administration, or contract management role (preferred). Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and CRM/ERP systems. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Experience with tender submissions and pre-qualification processes is an advantage. High attention to detail and commitment to process improvement. We have a growing demand for our services, and we need someone to support our Bristol depot in the service and maintenance of our own rental fleet and also customers’ own equipment. Naturally, you will have strong customer service skills, as you will be liaising with both external and internal customers, providing updates and ensuring complete customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities:  Prepare and carry out service and maintenance work on hire fleet generators and ancillary equipment. Fault find and carry out breakdown repairs to Rental Equipment. Also, to customer equipment when required. Attend customers’ sites to assist with setting up Synchronising generators for set-to-set and set-to-mains applications. Provide general assistance in the yard, including loading and offloading equipment. Drive forklift in the yard Deliver and collect generators and ancillary equipment using appropriate company vehicles where required, including refueling. Carry out general yard and workshop maintenance as required and keep all areas clean and tidy. Assist customers to run cables out on-site, as required. Carry out site surveys for special jobs, as required Carry out duties on our company on call rota system, 1 week in 4. Liaise with Depot Foreman regarding allocation of hire equipment, parts, oil and fuels on a daily basis. Comply with the Company Health & Safety Policy, including carrying out general housekeeping to ensure work areas are tidy.
