    We are looking for an experienced Director of Operations to lead and oversee the organisations national operations, ensuring the highest quality of service delivery and full compliance with all contracts. This role is to support the front-line teams, push for continuous improvement and drive POhWER to grow. The Director of Operations will provide strategic leadership and share clear directions across the organisation to achieve our goals. As a member of the executive team, you will support set organizational strategy, lead operational improvement and credible operational leadership to the CEO, Board of Trustees and external stakeholders. You will be leading the operational performance of POhWER’s services nationwide, to ensure the standard is consistent with our expectations, effective performance management and successful contract delivery which aligns with our financial targets. Provide national leadership of all POhWER’s services with a solid performance against KPI’s as well as ensure adherence to organizational governance frameworks, supporting their development and improvement. Your goal must be to embed a culture of reflective practice, continuous improvement and ongoing professional development. Lead to the resolution of complex complaints and act as a senior representative for PohWER at strategic meetings with partners, commissioners and donors. It is vital that you build strong relationships with staff, volunteers, service users and key stakeholders. You must have significant leadership skills within a multi-site service organisation, proven ability to deliver high-quality services that align with organizational values and demonstrate experience managing operational budgets. It is advantageous if you pose strong experience overseeing national service standards, contract delivery and regulatory compliance. We are looking for a candidate who is driven by values, integrity and resilience.     We have a diverse range of employee, bank workers and volunteers from different backgrounds.  Previous or current job roles and experiences working with vulnerable people is beneficial however we are more focused on recruiting based on values and the passion to make a difference. Hours of Work: 37 hours per week working between 9am - 5pm Monday – Friday.Location: Home based with travel around the Birmingham area.

    What You’ll Do 
     Provide high quality instructed and non-instructed advocacy according to the needs of the client and relevant to the service being providedAct on behalf of clients at all times, including following their instructions, taking action as directed by them or representing their wishes, feelings, beliefs and values in a way that is consistent with the law, guidance and best practiceTo evidence effective, outcome focused case management, ensuring all casework demonstrates processes of planning, action and review with relevant recordingTo provide high quality written reports as part of statutory advocacy rolesTo escalate concerns or complaints professionally to relevant public bodies as instructed by clients or otherwise where appropriate
     Independent Advocate Requirements:Strong communication and time management skills to successfully work remotely.Excellent IT skills, including the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, and the ability to learn software packages such as client management databases.Attention to detail to ensure accurate recording of records and reporting to meet tight deadlines.
    Desirable: Previous experience in advocacy, information and advice, or a similar role within health, social care, or the voluntary sector.Demonstrable experience working with vulnerable adults.Working knowledge of public and voluntary organisations.
