Join Platform Property Care (PPC) as an Apprentice and you will be joining a well-established property maintenance business. We provide responsive day to day repairs, property refurbishment, and electrical and gas servicing for our 120,000 customers living in 47,000 homes across the Midlands. What will you be doing as anApprentice Heating Engineer?
As an Apprentice Heating Engineer,you will learn all about what it takes to make sure our customers homes are maintained to a high and safe standard. You will produce work of the highest quality while providing excellent service to our customers, clients, and your team.
As part of this apprenticeship, you will learn about how Heating Engineers ensure our customers homes are warm and that boilers and heating systems are well maintained to a high and safe standard. The work will be varied and interesting and you will have the support of a mentor throughout your apprenticeship.
At college, you will study the Gas Engineering Operative Apprenticeship standard at Level 3 by attending Hereford College (or similar provider)one day a week, alongside learning and working with experienced operatives during the rest of the week.
On successful completion of the Gas Engineering Operative Level 3 Apprenticeship, you will be able to apply for any related job vacancies within PPC. If you gain permanent employment with PPC you will continue to be supported in your learning and development. PPC has a strong track record of offering permanent jobs to its apprentices once they qualify.

Grade 4 or above GCSE or equivalent in English would be desirable
Grade 4 or above GCSE or equivalent in Maths would be desirable
Some things you need to know
The team is based in Worcestershire, Herefordshire and Gloucestershire and South Birmingham so this is where applicants need to live.
This is a Level 3 course lasting 3 years
Ideally you would need to hold a full driving licence but this is not essential initially, but the role is mobile so would be required to be achieved
