Your main responsibility is to work as part of a team in the packing and feeding of biscuits. When required, you will stand in as a Wrapping Machine Operator. Wrapping Machine Operators are accountable for product and process delivery.The role needs someone with a positive attitude who takes pride in doing a good job and works well in a busy team. Must want to progress within your team as you will train to step into the permanent role when needed. Will move lines across the factory as and when required. What will be your key deliverables?  Manually pack products within specifications (includes bending, lifting, stretching) Visually check for foreign matter / hazards Ensure quality of biscuits are packed within product specifications Ensure adherence to all quality and safety standards. Work to a high standard, enabling plants to achieve planned output. Report any problems to ATM/Supervisor Ensure housekeeping and hygiene standards are maintained. Support the Supervisors in the introduction and support of any improvement initiatives. Provide a co-ordinated link with all production processes on the line. Wrapping Machine Operator responsibilities Carry out all pre-start checks Ensure product is made to the correct quality and specificationUnderstand equipment and machinery set up Ensure changeovers are completed to procedure and ensure any re-work procedures are followed Ensure product is to correct quality and make adjusts to machinery settings to maintain product consistency Ensure all documentation is filled in correctly and to the right standard Always maintain everyday factory standards safely Shift handovers are completed in area and to agreed agenda Train peers and new operatives in equipment use and procedures when requiredUndertake basic problem diagnosis and maintenance Ensure team understand the planning of their daily tasks Communicate directly with relevant person to resolve any issues Bring your experience Essential Basic numerical and literacy knowledge Manual dexterity Basic communication skills Basic problem recognition Excellent team working skills Be able to multi-task and have the drive and tenacity to work under your own initiative Positive attitude and willingness to drive change within operational environment  Desirable Previous experience is desirable but not essential, training will be given. Knowledge of manufacturing environment and of HACCP and safe systems of work Understand zonal Key Performance Indicators (production targets, waste levels and line performance)What does the recruitment process consist of?Assessments – Swift Comprehensive Aptitude assessment along with a Workplace English assessment.
