    Location: South Shields, Tyne and Wear

    A large Blue-Chip organisation are currently recruiting for a NDT Technician specialising in Phased Array and TOFD to join their team in the South Shields area. The NDT Technician will be required to carry out a range of NDT inspections to ensure compliance with statutory and/or legislative requirements. As well as working within the South Shields team, you will be working at client sites such as AWL factory, shipyards, manufacturing plants, power stations and gas terminals.

    Skills required for an NDT Technician: The candidate will have a PCN Level 2 in Phased Array and TOFD.Experience or extra qualifications of Magnetic Particle, Dye Penetrant, Ultrasonic and Visual Inspections would be beneficial.Experience of working on equipment such as compressors, pipework and high-pressure gauges.Ability to interpret and evaluate test results as well as collecting, collating and reporting with sketches where applicable the result of an NDT examination.Ability to use your own initiative whilst working on site and maintain the highest level of H&S awareness of all times.Good communication and report writing skills.A proactive, flexible and adaptable approach.     A growing organisation are currently recruiting for a Engineer Surveyor to complete inspections on pressure systems, air compressors and steam equipment. Predominately covering the Eastern side of the UK, you will be required to inspect the necessary equipment and report on any mandatory or recommended requirements. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Field Service Engineer within the Compressed Air, Pressure or Steam environments to move into a specialist position and meet different clients on a daily basis.
