If yes, apply now!Koinonia Christian Care Home is looking for a friendly and approachable person to join our dedicated and supportive team, caring for our vulnerable Christian residents. This role is ideal if you are looking to progress within the care sector as we will support you to achieve your Health & Social Care qualificationsKoinonia is based in Worthing, West Sussex. and offers accommodation to 38 residents including those living with dementia. Watch here to learn more about how we care: Responsibilities:Provide a high quality, professional service of care to our residents.Supervise all staff on the Care Team during your period of duty (including among other responsibilities: taking responsibility for Health, Safety and Security; administering medications to residents; arranging cover for staff who are absent through sickness; etc).Help a resident with personal cleanliness such as helping a resident with a bath.Support residents to eat and drink.Get to know residents so as to comfort, assist and give reassurance when needed.Supervise the care and well-being of our residents.Ensure residents’ care plans are up-to-date.Support our residents to keep independent and healthy and encourage them to be part of the community within the home.Treat others as individuals with unique and diverse needs and treat our residents with dignity and respect.Assist in the care at end of life.In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, you are required to perform other duties assigned by your manager from time to time that are within your capabilities.About you:You need to be someone who enjoys working with older people and can have an empathy with them;You will preferably have a RQF accreditation in Health & Social care at level 2 or aboveYou have experience working as a Senior Care Assistant in residential care;You must be willing to both lead shifts and take a “hands on” role as required; andYou need to be able to work in a team and be willing to take on any task to provide an excellent level of care to our residents. Hours: hours per week (Friday & Saturday nights)Shifts: 19:45 to 08:00amBank shifts to cover for sickness, absence and holidays.Benefits:Bank Holiday rate: £ p/h£500 joining bonus (on completion of probation and care certificate)Training & developmentCareer development: Whether you are starting your career or looking to expand your skills.Paid DBS checksBeing part of our friendly and committed staff teamOngoing support from managementFlexible working: various working hoursTeam eventsPension schemeCare Friends referral MedicashPerkbox – including an Employee assistance programme.Long-standing service rewardsBirthday rewards
