Purchase Ledger experts! We are looking for an experienced Purchase Ledger specialist to join our team here at phs Group, the UKs leading Hygiene Services provider. This is a wonderful opportunity to join a friendly and engaging team in an established company, doing a role that you love.
Were looking for that special person who has the necessary experience and drive to deal efficiently with a specific set of supplier accounts. Its a very busy department so youll need to deal effectively with invoices, credit notes, ledger queries and purchase orders. The ideal person for this role will be dedicated and looking for a career rather than a job we hope that person is you!
Your role as Purchase Ledger Administrator at phs Group
Reporting to the Purchase Ledger Manager, you will be responsible for a specific set of supplier accounts, tasks will include:
Preparation of invoices, credit notes and checking supplier statements, as well as scanning and validation of invoices in OCR software
Monitoring unauthorised invoices in ERP, allocating these to the appropriate authoriser
Matching invoices to purchase orders, reviewing balances on accounts for debit, overdue and unallocated payments, and dealing with supplier enquiries
Maintaining supplier accounts including new suppliers
Preparing weekly and monthly BACS payment runs for authorisation, ensuring that only properly authorised and due invoices are put forward for payment, with no duplicated invoices
Requesting payment of non-sterling denominated invoices, posting cashbook payments and receipts to appropriate supplier accounts and allocating against invoices and credit notes
Provide support and guidance to buyers and authorisers, as well as colleagues should they be unavailable

Experienced in Purchase Ledger
Good knowledge in Microsoft Excel
Excellent communication skills, dealing with internal and external customers
Organised, efficient and able to prioritise demands within a busy department
Helpful and reliable, with a keen eye for detail and an aptitude for systems
