Overview
We are working with an established HVAC / Mechanical contractor delivering the full MEP & HVAC package on a complex mixed-use development in Temple.
They are seeking a site-based MEP Programme Manager to work alongside the existing Project Management team, taking ownership of the short-term and finishing programmes and driving day-to-day delivery across all MEP disciplines.
This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role combining site engagement with programme management.
The Role
The MEP Programme Manager will be responsible for managing and driving the project programme at site level, ensuring weekly targets are understood, achievable, and delivered.
Key responsibilities include:
Working alongside Project Managers to develop and maintain master finishing and short-term programmesManaging the programme on a day-to-day basis, ensuring alignment across all MEP disciplinesRegularly engaging with lead engineers and discipline supervisors (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC)Issuing weekly targets, reviewing progress, and identifying risks to deliveryChallenging delays constructively and identifying what is required to recover or maintain programmeFeeding programme updates, constraints, and recovery plans back to the Project Managers for approval and implementationAttending site meetings and coordinating across multiple workstreamsThis role is focused on coordination, communication, and programme control, not commercial or contractual management.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will come from an MEP site delivery background and be confident operating across multiple disciplines.
Essential experience:
Background in mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, or electrical disciplinesStrong working understanding of all MEP systems, though not necessarily a technical expert in one tradeExperience managing or coordinating site programmesConfident communicating with lead engineers and site teamsStrong organisational and planning skillsComputer literate, with experience using Microsoft Project or similar planning software
Contract & Rate
Day rate: £200 - £320
