Day to Day Duties
Your duties as a Class 1 Driver will involve but not be limited to:
Delivery of goods from store to home and trunking
Operate and drive various Class 1 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations
Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly
Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
Essential Skills
As a Class 1 Driver you will need to:
Hold a valid UK Category CE Licence
Have a minimum of 24 months experience driving CE vehicles
No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
Have a valid UK CPC Card & UK Digi Card
Complete a drug and alcohol test
Must be able to speak and read a good level of English
Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills
Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
Effective communication skills
Desirable Experience
Experience driving any commercial vehicles would be beneficial
Previous experience of multi drop deliveries will be beneficial
Training
Driver's Assessment will have to be completed including theory test
After successful Assessment, there will be a one-week paid induction (day shift)
