Key Responsibilities Provide expert guidance on AML, sanctions and wider financial crime matters, including complex client due diligence, onboarding, beneficial ownership and source of wealth/funds enquiries. Review and assess client and matter risk, support financial crime investigations where required, and provide pragmatic, risk-based recommendations. Develop and maintain financial crime policies, procedures, controls and risk frameworks, while monitoring regulatory developments and supporting audits and compliance reviews. Produce management information, analyse emerging trends and risks, and help improve compliance processes through technology, data and AI-driven solutions. Deliver engaging training, workshops and awareness initiatives, building strong relationships with stakeholders across the firm and promoting a culture of compliance. This role would suit an experienced AML and Financial Crime professional with strong technical knowledge of UK AML legislation and a background within a law firm. You'll be confident advising on complex compliance matters, comfortable influencing senior stakeholders and able to translate regulatory requirements into clear, commercial guidance. Experience of governance, risk management, compliance monitoring, regulatory reviews or technology-led process improvement would be highly advantageous, as would relevant financial crime or compliance qualifications.
