We’re on a mission to reimagine and elevate pasta as a category, which is worth a staggering £3.8bn yet has seen little innovation for decades.

Since launching our original fresh pasta recipe kit service in 2016, we have built a cult following of British pasta lovers – our Evangelists – who are passionate about discovering the breadth and variety of pasta, as well as the irresistible stories behind it.

Today, Pasta Evangelists is backed by Barilla (the world’s biggest pasta company) and is proud to be the UK’s biggest pasta brand by revenues, as well as one of the UK’s fastest-growing startups. In addition to our website, our recipe kits are also available for customers to purchase through major online retailers like Ocado.

These are not just Italian eateries — they are vibrant destinations where guests can experience the extraordinary diversity of pasta, alongside exceptional service, bold creativity, and a true passion for great food. You can visit us at our first locations in Chiswick, Richmond, Greenwich and Farringdon, where guests can enjoy a delicious meal and also take part in our much loved pasta-making classes.

At the same time, we continue to expand our fresh pasta takeaway concept, available on pastaevangelists.com and through major delivery platforms like Deliveroo, UberEats and JustEat. With more than 40 kitchens now operating across the UK — including in Scotland and Wales — we are growing our footprint rapidly and bringing fresh pasta to more customers every day.

DescriptionWe are looking for a passionate, Italy-loving Team Member who can help us to create exceptional dining experiences at our new Farringdon fresh pasta restaurant. You won’t just be cooking and serving our customers the freshest pasta in town (although that’s a big part of it!), but you’ll be part of a brand new team that opens the doors to one of the coolest locations in town.

Picture this: we’ll have chefs making fresh pasta in the window of the restaurant to entice the good people of Farringdon in. There’ll be the hippest Italian funk and jazz on stereo, the smell of ragù in the air, fresh pasta making classes in-house, drivers buzzing about on our beautiful terracotta Vespas, and much more.

As a Team Member, your role is all about creating delightful moments for our customers. We want to hear from candidates who ooze passion, love to cook, are confident, charming & wear an easy smile with customers, and who want to be part of our exceptional new fresh pasta concept coming to Farringdon. If that sounds like you, we wanted to hear from you yesterday. So, as our Roman ancestors might have said, carpe diem. Show us your soul.
What you'll do at Pasta Evangelists: Prepare & plate our fresh pasta dishes (and other edible delights) to our high standards that will delight customers. Prepare orders for dine-in and delivery swiftly and accurately, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for every guest. Be a team player and bring positivity and warmth to the kitchen and wider restaurant environment & colleagues you work with. Welcome each customer with genuine warmth and enthusiasm. Help customers explore our menu, offering personalised recommendations and answering any questions with passion. Create a positive dining atmosphere by being attentive and proactive in meeting customers' needs. Follow our treasured recipes and techniques to ensure every dish meets our high standards. Keep your workspace clean, organised, and buzzing with energy. Keep an eye on our ingredient supplies and let the shift manager know if we’re running low on anything essential. Make sure the dining area is always inviting and immaculate. Regularly clean and sanitise tables, chairs, and other surfaces to ensure a safe environment. Follow all health and safety guidelines to keep both customers and colleagues safe. Pitch in with cleaning tasks when needed. Work closely with your teammates to ensure everything runs smoothly. Take part in team meetings and training sessions, bringing your ideas and enthusiasm. Support your colleagues, especially during busy times, and be willing to take on additional tasks as required.
Who you are: Experience in customer service or food service is a plus, but a passion for Italian cuisine is what truly matters. Enthusiasm for learning about our menu and sharing that knowledge with customers. Excellent communication and people skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple tasks with grace. A positive attitude, reliability, and a strong sense of teamwork. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Bonus point! Any experience in coffee, wine, and pasta would be advantageous, but it’s your zest for life that we are looking for. … If you dream in pasta shapes, you're in the right place.
