MPS is in high demand and experiencing repeated successes in delivering value and excellence for our clients who are within daily commuting range from home. Due to this success, we are expanding further across the UK. MPS are client-facing consultants who are part of PA’s core Programme Transformation and Delivery capability Team, PA’s Centre of Excellence for all project, programme, and portfolio capability. We work across Defence, major projects & infrastructure, transport, and public sector taking on client-facing roles on long-term assignments.  As a Business Change Consultant, you will play a pivotal role to support a client’s goals, programmes, and change initiatives within large, complex digital transformation programmes. The role will involve maintaining and implementing a business change plan through proactive stakeholder engagement to foster successful organisational change. Your collaborative, human-centric, and value-driven mindset will be crucial in delivering successful outcomes for our clients.  This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative and innovative environment, shaping projects that drive meaningful impact. You will have opportunity to:Develop and maintain business change plans to support digital Defence transformation programmes, working with multiple stakeholders to identify and implement business change activities.Update change management strategies to reflect programme reality and operational need and proactive risk mitigationConduct business change assessments across Defence Lines of Development (DLoDs) including change maturity assessments, adoption analysis reviews, and change load assessments aligned to the as-is and to-be state.Use visualisation tools to present the impact of changes to a wide range of stakeholders.Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and through programme leadership, with external partners, government agencies, and the wider Defence community as required to prepare the organisation for change and ensure alignment of messaging across all programme activities.Work closely with the assignment manager to ensure the business change plan and activities align with wider strategic change activities across Defence. Facilitate workshops and events to inspire individuals and teams as well as deliver usable outputsDevelop change-themed communication messages appropriate for a variety of channels.Foster strong long-term client relationships by maintaining regular communication and managing expectations.Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members and undertake knowledge transfer activities.Work with clients who are within daily commuting range from home.
    Qualifications

    Qualifications

    This role is ideal for hybrid profiles who combine strengths in change management with digital, data, agile or product-led delivery. We are looking for experience in one or more of the following: Designing and delivering digital and data transformation programmes that balance technology implementation with behavioural and cultural change. Practical experience applying change management fundamentals and methodologies (impact assessment, engagement, communications, adoption measurement) in fastmoving digital environments. Embedding digital-first ways of working to drive enablement and adoption, including end-user adoption, mindset shift, capability building and coaching for leaders and teams. Understanding and application of digital tools and techniques, such as machine learning, automation, and predictive analytics, to develop insights, inform decision-making, and enhance collaboration. Assessing the impact of large-scale digital transformations and understanding of behaviour change to preparing behavioural interventions that embed new ways of working across all levels of an organisation to embrace new technology and adapt ways of working to achieve organisational benefits. Integrating data analytics, interpretation and insights into change management, workforce planning, and decision-making processes. Understanding how digital platforms (e.g. ERP) impact workforce planning, culture, and decision-making. Leveraging data to measure change readiness, effectiveness, and enable informed decision making. Advising on skills implications of digital and AI adoption, including reskilling, capability uplift and workforce transition. Conducting user research and engagement activities (interviews, workshops, usability testing) to inform digital change strategies. You will bring many of the following attributes: High levels of emotional intelligence and experience working with a range of stakeholders so that you can adapt your approach to different client and organisational contexts. A collaborative and enthusiastic style, with flexibility to work on diverse challenges in small, cross functional, or large teams.  Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with an ability to delivery practical results.  Excellent written and oral communication skills which enable you to translate complex digital concepts into clear, human-centred messages. The ability to build trusted relationships quickly with colleagues, clients and senior stakeholders. A forward-thinking mindset with a strong interest in future of work, AI, digital transformation, workforce strategy and people analytics. Professional accreditation or formal training (e.g. change management, agile, product, data or digital) is helpful but not essential.
