    Job Description
    Purpose of Role

    The Warranty Manager will deal with, and co-ordinate responses to requests for warranty service on new boats delivered from Wroxham.

    Key Responsibilities

    ·       Be the first point of contact for calls for warranty service on new yachts.
    ·       Help co-ordinate labour, materials, sub-contractors, and other resources to resolve issues keeping customers fully informed of progress whilst setting realistic expectations of the outcome.
    ·       Process warranty claims, identifying opportunities to recharge costs to suppliers / sub-contractors.
    ·       Feedback and liaise with Quality and Supply Chain regarding issues of supplier poor performance.
    ·       Work with other departments to identify root cause of warranty issues, to enable feedback into the production process to eliminate these issues for the future.
    ·       Utilise 8D and other problem-solving tools to implement solutions to on-going problems.
    ·       Monitor cost of warranty and produce reports as required.
    ·       Occasional out of hours contact to ensure issues are resolved where required.



    RequirementsKnowledge
    Extensive knowledge of yacht systems (Including Mechanical, Electrical, Rigging and Joinery)
    Skills
    Excellent IT skills such as MS Word, Excel.
    Experience
    Sailing experience
    Experience in yacht manufacturing and systems.

    Qualifications
    No specific qualifications required.

    Personal Characteristics
    Excellent verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills as this role is customer facing.
    Ability to build good relationships with customers.
    Ability to communicate and demonstrate skills with customers, employees, contractors, and the extended team.
    Self-motivated with the ability to manage and plan multiple activities effectively.
    Methodical approach to work.
    Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    High level of attention to detail.
    Able to work to schedule within a fast-paced environment.

    Other Requirements
    Full driving licence
    Ability to travel to different sites / locations.

    The successful candidate can be located on the South Coast or Norfolk.

    The role co-ordinates aspects of materials and labour inputs into the options costings database. Drawing together information from colleagues and others to produce detailed costing for sales and project managers to quote proposals to clients down to a detailed level.

    Key Job Responsibilities
    Collate material requirements for options including the items deleted from the standard Bill of Materials (BOM) in order to supply and fit a requested option. In the first instance this will be at a high level (Rough Order of Magnitude – ROM) in order to give a timely response to Sales and Project Management teams.
    Prepare and complete required second level reviews to take place in collaboration with Production, Design and the Materials Planning team to ensure the Option Job Card in the Finance System is accurate, including those materials that need to be removed from the standard BOM.
    Collate labour requirements for options including the time to delete from the standard yacht in order to fit a requested option. Output to be coordinated in consultation with colleagues across the full range of disciplines in the build process.
    Regularly review commonly used options to ensure the most up to date prices are being used and the required selling price margin is being maintained, which may include those installed in both fitout and moulding.
    Assist Project Managers and Design with new product and equipment research and selection.
    Work jointly with the Procurement team to ensure necessary due diligence is carried out when engaging with supply partners to mitigate risk and ensure Oyster quality standards are met at optimal cost.
    Work with the Sales Directors to update and manage Sales Options list.
    Deputise for the Build Estimating Manager when required.


    RequirementsKnowledge
    Good knowledge of sailing yachts and their equipment to understand what is required.
    Broad understanding of the build process.

    Skills
    Excellent numerical and IT skills required with ability to use Excel and Navision (the latter with training if required.)
    Systematic and diligent with great attention to detail.
    Ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects at the same time, juggling competing deadlines. Will need to be able to work unsupervised and use initiative.
    Be curious and innovative across all disciplines with a collaborative approach.
    Must work well with colleagues and be a good Team Player.
    Results driven and a commercial mindset.

    Experience
    Prior experience working within manufacturing / yacht building industry preferred.
