    Shifts : Monday to FridayHours : 50 hours per week inclusive of lunch breaksSalary: £18.00ph
    OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and dedicated Trailer Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in equipment repair, with a focus on trailers. This role requires a hands-on approach to diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring that all trailers are in optimal working condition. The successful applicant will be adept at using various tools and equipment while maintaining a high standard of customer service. ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and repair trailers dealing with mechanical breakdowns and damage to restore vehicles to required performance in order to minimise/or avoid unnecessary delays.Provide technical knowledge/advice/skill to other team members ensuring the best decisions are made.Carry out weekly inspections of vehiclesTravel around local sitesCarry out preventative planned maintenance/repairsCarry out all other duties as directed by the CompanyAvailability to cover call outsRead and interpret schematics to troubleshoot issues effectively.Use hand tools and power tools to perform repairs and maintenance tasks.Weld components as necessary to ensure structural integrity.Assemble parts and systems according to specifications.Operate forklifts safely to move trailers and equipment within the workshop.Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their trailer needs.ExperienceProven experience in mechanical repair, preferably with trailers or similar equipment.Strong understanding of electrical systems related to trailer functionality.Familiarity with using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.Experience operating forklifts is advantageous but not essential; training may be provided.Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.Strong communication skills, demonstrating an ability to provide quality customer service.If you are passionate about mechanics and have the skills required for this role, we encourage you to apply for the position of Trailer Technician today!
