    DescriptionWe are seeking a Senior Warehouse Operative / Senior Stores & Quality Inspector to support the day-to-day operations of our aviation parts warehouse.

    This role will play a key part in ensuring incoming and outgoing aircraft parts are inspected, documented, stored and dispatched in accordance with company procedures and aviation industry standards.

    Depending on experience, the successful candidate will take ownership of quality inspection processes, warehouse operations and stock control, while also supporting the wider operational efficiency of the business.

    We welcome applications from candidates with solid warehouse and inspection experience through to more senior professionals capable of driving improvements in processes, quality control and operational workflows.
    Key Responsibilities Inspect incoming and outgoing aircraft parts to ensure they meet quality, quantity and documentation requirements. Verify accompanying documentation such as delivery notes, trace documents, repair orders and certificates. Ensure aircraft components are correctly labelled, packaged and stored in the appropriate warehouse locations. Maintain accurate stock records and warehouse inventory information. Pack and prepare outgoing goods in accordance with regulatory requirements and customer specifications. Assist with goods-in and goods-out processes to ensure smooth warehouse operations.

    Use measuring tools and inspection equipment to confirm components meet required tolerances and quality standards. Record and report discrepancies, damage or documentation issues. Maintain inspection records and ensure traceability documentation is accurate and complete.

    Support warehouse organisation, layout improvements and stock management. Assist with inventory checks, store audits and general warehouse housekeeping. Operate warehouse equipment including forklifts where required. Carry out equipment safety checks prior to use.

    Support improvements in warehouse processes and logistics workflows. Assist with implementing procedures that improve efficiency, compliance and operational performance. Work collaboratively with the Stores Manager and wider team to resolve operational challenges.



    Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Experience working in a warehouse, logistics, aviation parts or quality inspection environment Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
    Experience inspecting goods against purchase orders or specifications Good organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with different teams Basic IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook Ability to perform physical warehouse tasks in accordance with health and safety guidelines Full UK driving licence and access to own transport

    Forklift Truck Licence (FLT) — particularly Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) experience Experience handling hazardous or dangerous goods Experience working within aviation or aerospace logistics Familiarity with Quantum software Dangerous Goods Awareness training Experience supporting warehouse process improvements

    Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseEssential: Deep expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, with a focus on Terraform and Terragrunt. Proven experience with at least one programming language e.g. Python, Typescript, Go or Rust, etc Experience in designing, building, and managing large-scale distributed systems, including technologies like Kubernetes, and Databases eg/CockroachDB. Strong knowledge of observability platforms, such as the Grafana stack, Datadog, or the ELK stack, with the ability to implement effective monitoring and logging solutions. Good to Have:  Experience in developing distributed systems, with an understanding of concepts like distributed consensus, transactions, and ordering. Knowledge of distributed message brokerage and streaming systems such as Apache Kafka, Redpanda, RabbitMQ, NATS, RisingWave, Apache Flink, etc. A demonstrated track record of measuring and optimising system performance. Knowledge of big data systems, Machine Learning models and operations. Active participation in technical communities or contributions to open-source projects, paired with a passion for knowledge sharing. Strong writing and documentation skills, with the ability to create clear and comprehensive technical documentation.
