    The Role
    We’re seeking an Electrical Engineer to take a lead role in the design and development of complex electrical hardware systems at BAE Systems. You’ll act as a senior technical authority, driving solutions from concept to completion and providing expert guidance across multiple projects.
     
    What you’ll do
    Lead electrical design for new and legacy products. Deliver solutions across power distribution, motor drives, control systems, and data networks. Oversee design verification, testing, and integration activities. Provide technical leadership, review documentation, and mentor engineers. Contribute to bids, proposals, and technology development.     Degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field). Significant experience in electrical design, integration, and verification. Knowledge of relevant standards and regulations (e.g. IET Wiring, EMC, safety). Experience in defence or other high-safety industries is desirable.

    Skills & Experience
     
    Essential:
    Strong understanding of organisational structure, processes and culture within engineering or similar environments. Previous Project Controls or Project Management experience. Ability to gather data, support solution development and assist with implementation. Experience integrating cross-functional teams across multiple projects. Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
    Desirable:
    Experience using Primavera P6 (including admin-level knowledge). Understanding of Stage 2/3 Engineering deliverables (First Issue Outputs & Change).
