Were looking for a hands-on, technically exceptional Calibration Laboratory Manager who knows metrology inside out and thrives in a precision-driven environment.
What Youll Do
Lead day-to-day calibration lab operations and ensure high-quality service delivery.
Plan and manage laboratory workloads to meet customer requirements.
Drive compliance with ISO/IEC and maintain a robust management system.
Oversee torque calibration activities, including issuing UKAS certificates.
Liaise directly with customers on technical calibration matters.
Support, guide, and mentor Calibration Engineers be the technical champion of the team.
Manage audits, documentation, uncertainties, and gauge management systems.
Develop and refine calibration processes, techniques, and procedures.
Ensure ongoing impartiality, accuracy, and H&S compliance at all times.
What You Need
Strong metrology background with torque and/or force calibration expertise.
Experience managing or working within an accredited calibration laboratory.
Solid understanding of ISO/IEC , UKAS processes, and quality systems.
Engineering qualification or apprenticeship.
Ability to solve complex calibration challenges with deep technical insight.
Highly organised, meticulous, and strong with MS Office (especially Excel).
Excellent communication skills confident dealing with customers and internal teams.
A proactive mindset and commitment to high standards.
