It’s time to join our team and help build more sustainable environments! We are currently looking for a Business Development Managerto join us as part of our Indoor Climate Solutions team at Wavin. Reporting to the Head of Sales - Indoor Climate Solutions, the BDM will be the application specialist and link between product management and frontline. This requires a high level of market knowledge, as the BDM will be the key point of contact for Wavin ICS towards customers, combining market knowhow with business sense. The Wavin ICS portfolio consists of several product categories including Underfloor Heating, Smart Controls and Heat Recovery Ventilation that will be launched as the organisation matures. This particular BDM role specialises in Ventilation products, so it is critical that individuals possess experience in this area. The BDM brings client propositions and needs to the Product Management organisation, ensuring Wavin secures a competitive and relevant solution proposition. Additionally, the BDM will guide and support the sales organisation towards stronger market positions, growth and profitability, securing system/solution selling and optimal product mix for projects. The BDM will secure proper translation and deployment of the values of our products and go-to-market strategy into a strong customer proposition for residential construction projects, supporting customers in the design phase and securing Wavin as part of subsequent projects. The geographical area for this role covers the North of England and in order to be considered, candidates are required to live on patch. As significant travel is part of the role, all candidates are required to have a full UK driving licence and must be prepared for regular overnight stays.  The role Positive engagement towards Health and Safety at all times, following all guidelines Ensures B&I develops from being a commodity component supplier to a system and solutions provider Acts as local application expert for the ICS portfolio, being the link between BU (LPM/TPM) and commercial sales organisation in the UK Acts as local application/technical sales lead towards customers, securing that Wavin is prescribed into projects and become a trusted partner in the targeted segments or sub verticals Understands building directives, legislation and subsidy schemes that can support or threat our product categories and propositions Understands key drivers in new build respectively renovation segments and sub-verticals (e.g. housing associations, new build luxury apartments, single family housebuilders) Brings client propositions to the full ICS organisation so we act and develop on facts and market trends Assesses the commercial value propositions and ensure that customer/market needs, and opportunities are met and coordinated Guides and supports the sales team to secure the achievement of our objectives in terms of market position, growth, and profitability (product mix) through gaining penetration, market share and through developing and conceptualising new solutions Operates as the technical point of contact for the sales team and customers, co-ordinating technical requests and the resolution of issues Builds and shares market intelligence (understanding of customers, markets, competitors, legislative drivers (e.g. GEG), products, and applications). Mapping of key competitors and their approach to ICS in the local market Promotes and educates our building design and calculation services (CAD, BIM Revit, master data) to customers in collaboration with our sales team, coordinating execution with our design team Maps what the “optimal systems/solutions” look like in new build/renovation segments Works closely with sales leaders to secure we enter projects much sooner, get prescribed and stay in Conducts all activities compliant to legal, regulatory and company requirements The profile Sales background with an entrepreneurial mindset (“outbound PM focus”). Strong desire to develop, learn and set new standards Good understanding of the residential construction industry (developers, specifiers, builders) including building design with significant knowledge of Heat Interface markets Deep knowledge of the UK climate solutions market opportunities and challenges as well as legistation drivers and substady scemes for new build as well as renovation (residential focus). Engineering knowhow with business sense. This skill is particularly important as we embark the Upstream market focus (can also be prefab and direct) A team player with excellent communication and presentation skills Ability to act tactfully in a complex environment Strong commercial excellence and entrepreneurial mindset Experience in the residential segments with deep knowledge on technical specifications, market standards, quality and legislation (preferred) Market driven, technical interest and affinity with building design services Ability to act tactfully in a complex environment Proven ability in a sales environment would be preferred. Additional technical knowledge and project management experience is a plus Strong track-record of winning projects and understanding full project scopes– ability to sell integrated solutions Excellent communication skills.     We are currently looking for a People Business Partner to join us at Chippenham. If you want to make a difference and work for a purpose-led company, please read on. Reporting to the Head of People, the People Business Partner will be responsible for leading the HR activity and delivering the people aspects of the site’s strategic plans and providing a first-class support service across the full HR remit for the Operations and Supply Chain teams on site whilst liaising with the wider People Team.
    The successful candidate will also be responsible for linking Corporate HR to ensure HR processes are effectively delivered in line with global timelines and protocols. The role will be a hybrid role consisting of 3 days on site and 2 days working from home. The role To operate as a trusted and knowledgeable business partner on matters such as employment law, training and development, recruitment and selection, employee relations, organisational change and Company Policies and Procedures To manage the site’s operational People priorities on a day-to-day basis To have full involvement in the development of People and Training strategies To assist the wider People team in the development, co-ordination and implementation of Company Policies and Procedures ensuring legal compliance, good practice and ‘best fit’ to achieve business strategy To initiate and influence change management programs To champion communication and staff engagement within all business functions To influence, coach and mentor Managers in all areas of people management To support the development of senior management and their teams, by adopting a critical friend approach To be proactive and positive with own personal development and to attend to all training opportunities To drive and deliver People and improvement projects ensuring outcomes are aligned to the business strategy and legislation To partner management teams at Operation Reviews, Pay Reviews, Consultative Council and Trade Union Meetings To partner the Occupational Health function in line with overall business and HR strategy To work within the People budget, ensuring costs are kept to a minimum, e.g., recruitment To create and deliver Talent Management Recruitments/Development plans with senior teams in accordance with Succession Planning strategies To engage, complete and deliver People metrics and reports To lead to completion any business restructurings, using your legal knowledge and compliance of all elements of the redundancy process To liaise with the onsite recruitment agency (temporary labour) and embrace the tendering process when necessary To ensure that all People record keeping, documentation and related HRIS systems comply with legislation, are accurate and are kept up to date To monitor and drive the completion of all Appraisals in conjunction with local management teams To ensure a comprehensive induction of all new starters to the business is carried out The profile Current knowledge of UK HR best practice gained within a manufacturing or similar industry is essential Demonstrable influencing, persuasion and coaching skills Ability to constructively challenge accepted norms Flexible and willing to travel across the UK locations – possession of a full UK licence is key Commercially focused, able to manage and process information with absolute confidentiality Ability to prioritise and work accurately under pressure and well organised Business partner experience gained in an international manufacturing business or similar Significant experience working within a unionised environment Proficient with Microsoft Office and HR ERP software (ideally SAP) Ability to manage several complex priorities concurrently and to a high standard An understanding of working within a Global Manufacturing company would be beneficial GCSE Grade C (or equivalent) in Maths and English and a Post Graduate diploma in HR or a relevant, related subject is required Membership of Professional HR body (CIPD or equivalent), Psychometric testing training (BPS level A or B) and knowledge of job evaluation (Hay Methodology) is desirable What Orbia Building & Infrastructure offers
